What's this news of Mariano's not releasing yet?

 

Do you know if this is forsure happening? I live about 10 minutes from there. Thanks!

 

I swung bye today to Northfield Mariano's and they haven't gotten anything yet according to customer service people I talked to. Supposed to be sometime this week.

I'd be fine scoring a few more regulars, as that's my favorite in this year's batch.

 

Yes. Usually 2-4 bottle limits. Went to a few stores last year. At customer service counter. Priced well if I recall correctly.

 

If I remember correctly, the Mariano's in the west loop released theirs on the Tuesday or Wednesday after Thanksgiving (I think it was Wednesday). I also remember getting some from a Mariano's in the western burbs during the week as well.

 

They just posted on FB, tapping at noon today.

 

What were they, $30 per bottle? That place has always been a place that gouges us consumers. I will not shop there as a result.

I seem to recall at least a few Mariano's had bar code issues and could not sell BCBS even though they had them in stock. They eventually got that problem fixed, but I wasn't still there waiting.

$14 a bottle I think.

 

I had lunch there today and got a pour of Prop. I'd assume it will last into the evening (unless there's a crazy after work rush).

The first few sips were very smokey. As it warmed and the more I drank it began to taste much better and well balanced.

Here now with my family. REALLY appreciate the heads up! Place is mostly empty but they said it will kick in the next few hours as a guess. Loving this place, never knew it was only 20 mins from me!

Ran into a small place today and was sort of suprised to see a Prop behind the counter. I asked how much and was told $80. Before I could walk out, they said "Oh by the way, it's last year's Prop." Well that was nice of them to prove they're idiots. They had Rare for $189 too. I literally lol'd and the guy says "Yeah, my dad sets these crazy prices." No shit? That was an entertaining 3 minutes.
