    • Other beers, including limited releases will be available for extra purchase and/or samples
Does anyone know what those bottles were at last year's event?

Interesting - I thought it was very easy. Had tickets available on both my computer and tablet, but just moved forward with one of them for tickets for me and a buddy. Looked like second session tickets were still available a few minutes later. GI Clybourn Black Friday tickets were gone way quicker than this. But, with only 400 tickets, you had to figure they would go quickly.

Got a ticket for the early session. Regretting not just adding that second ticket now. Oh well, I'm glad to have scored the ticket for myself!

I'm just saying that if you tried to buy tickets the absolute second they went on sale, you'd think you could get at least one. It wasn't even 12:01 and Eventbrite was saying both sessions were sold out. I know the demand is there, I just have a case of sour grapes.

That sucks. I saw a few minutes after 12 that there were still 2nd session tickets available...but, I didn't try to go through with the purchase, so who knows if it would've let me.

I imagine most people bought 2 tickets, so only ~250 people actually got through. I'm sure there were a lot more then 250 refreshing at 11:59. I'm not surprised it sold out in 10 seconds.

I'm surprised to hear people couldn't get tickets considering how easy and smooth the process was for me. Refreshed the page right at 12 and got right in. Ended up with 2 tickets for the morning session.

As predicted. Had some connection issues during the brief window.

I would love to trade for one, but I can't pull a Vanilla Rye out of my ass.

Cool, I got a ticket but thousands of people were not as lucky as we were. There were 400 tickets. I would imagine tens of thousands probably refreshing right at noon, I am surprised to hear that you would be surprised that it was hard to get a ticket.

They sold out in about 10 seconds but you're surprised people couldn't get tickets? I was lucky and got tickets too but for a majority of people I'm sure they wouldn't call it "easy and smooth". It's just how these releases work when demand is that much greater then supply.

Had Chaos at Fobab, it was not one of my favorites.

Yeah, but I don't think you did... That was Cocoa Chaos, a totally different beer.

Also this years BA Chaos is based off of their Gimme Samoa Side Note with cocao nibs, toasted coconut and cinnamon. If it's anything like the base beer I will be one happy camper.

Does it seem strange that they call this something so similar to Cocoa Chaos (agreed that it wasn't that good at FOBAB, at least compared to competition) even though it's such a different beer? One would think (or, maybe it's just me ) that Chaos would be the same as Cocoa Chaos, except with more stuff such as cocoa added to Cocoa Chaos.

It seemed like a few beers "weren't that great" at FoBAB as compared to trying them elsewhere. Prop '16 a great example.

Cocoa Chaos was the tap only variant at last year's Chaos Day and was insane (one of the most chocolate forward beers I've had).

Chaos is just the name of the base (BA version of Chaos Theory). Last year there were 2 variant s available in bottles (Maple Chaos, Coffee Chaos). Maybe Shaun just went with the generic (Chaos) for the bottle labels since there is the one variant this year or maybe it will be called something more clever (like the Side Notes) when we get closer to the event.

I don't think a name means much. At least not in this case... different barrels, different aging, different adjuncts. I don't think 2017 Chaos is suppose to be like 2016 Chaos.

hmm... ok that's good then. Their FOBAB beer wasn't very impressive.

How were these bottles sold, first come first serve or option for each person to purchase them and it was their option to turn it down? Is this like DLD and you have to show up early to get a chance to get certain bottles? Did they have enough for all people coming to the event? I just have questions since I have no clue how this event is run.

I would also like to know how the extra bottles work. There are two sessions so I would think that bottles would have to last through the second session.

Im really excited I got tickets cant wait to go!
