BCBS Black Friday - Chicago Suburbs

I plan to call ahead to my local Whole Foods, but do you know if supply this year will be similar to last year or like you said some will get only regular?

 

I would highly recommend staying away from liquor barn. Not only are their prices out of whack but I just get a very creepy vibe from the employees. Calling their customer service lackluster would be generous. However they would be more than happy to sell you some infected 2015 bcbs and bw

 

The ones I just picked up are the 14.5% version.

 

So I'm not the only person that feels like they despise me for shopping there? Interesting. I stopped after 4-5 times feeling like they were glaring at me for wanting to buy beer.

 

For anybody looking for regular:

Wheaton Mariano's got their shipment today, just picked some up 10 minutes ago - $10/each, limit 3, no variants

 

All these great stories about Jewel and Mariano's and I've been to both and the each had limit one regular. No big deal, but it's crazy how it is location dependent.

 

I hear you on that one. Last year the Mariano's in Oak Lawn was like that. They had a limit of one regular bottle per person, and the guy in the beer section acted all weird and shady when I asked for it - like it was illegal. He basically told me not to tell anybody else that they have it either...

 

Still a lot there. Was a case of BCBW too.

 

Thanks for the leads everyone. Just got back from Mariano's Arlington Heights where they are rationing regular at 1 bottle per person. Mariano's Palatine says they have "a few left" behind the service counter. Limit 2 pp. Happy hunting.

 

I got there right as they were bringing it from the back. Glad to hear they had more than the 3 I had seen....you weren't by chance in binnys earlier?

CD Discount Liquors in Bolingbrook also has regular and barleywine right now. 4 regular pp, 2 barleywine pp. $9.99 and $11.99 per bottle.

 

Just left Mariano's in Palatine. Have three cases behind service desk and going quick. 2 pp
