BA Ten Fidy Northeast

Not in Boston, but Liquor World in Cambridge still had 7 or 8 on the shelf around 3:30 today.

 

damn i was in Porter Square today and for one of the first times ever didnt stop into Liquor World. doh!

 

I've just called them, and got an answer they were all gone T_T

 

I snagged one at Blanchards Marshfield, 14$. Few left

 

Went to Total Wines Natick around 1pm today to grab some BCBS and BW, and there were a half dozen or more BA Ten Fidy cans sitting on the shelf at $13 per

 

Limit?

 

Didn't see any. I grabbed two.

 

just left myself, no limit. i left 3 on the shelf

 

Somehow I doubt those would be there after a drive from Cambridge.

 

i called first but the guy told me he had about a case. i'm thinking not all of them were on the shelf. but he said you can buy it online to reserve it. worth a shot.

 

I tried, said produced in limited quantities so only available in stores. I'll give it a shot, though.

 

Kappys on rt 1 had some yesterday

 

2 cans left at TW natick, you have to ask and it's 1/per

 

Finally hit bvt area today, I grab a few $10.50 a can. Also saw some firestone anniversary bottles

 

1 can left at Cedarville Wine and Spirits. Also have 3 bottles of Firestone Anny left.

 

So what did you all think? I found it pretty disappointing, especially in comparison to this year's BCBS which everyone probably got at about the same time.

 

Agree. Pretty thin for the ABV. I wouldn't seek out again.

 

Drinking one as I type this. Total letdown. Thin and not as flavorful as bcbs. Almost has a burnt taste. Not in the same league as Bourbon County. Only positive is the place I bought four cans from charged me the price of a four pack of regular ten fidy.

 

I don't understand the need to compare against BCBS as there are few beers that are at that level and that was not my expectation. That being said, the hype train was loud on this one so I'm a little disappointed relative to expectations. But it's still a very good stout that hides the ABV well. I'm having one now and going to sit on another one for a year to see how it ages.
