Any other NoVA or DC sightings of High Westified? Whole Foods FairLakes got it, but it's two single bottles per customer. I called Total Wine and they said it wasn't even in their system.

 

Dominion had it as well as K-1. No limit at K-1.

Well, yes and no. You're 100% right about all of this (including that WWS has been disappointing), but my point had nothing to do with whether the product was expensive, nor was it about disparaging Premium.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but the only other "major" beer distributor in DC is Cap Eagle, no? And as of recently Premium had a dedicated staff of two people specifically trained to sell craft beer in DC (plus their manager (I believe this was just increased to four people))?

I fully agree Premium has had a few remarkable folks working their craft beer catalogue. Nevertheless, it's inherently difficult for a large-scale distributor to move small units of specialty product. The majority of the staff doesn't sell it because they have no idea it exists, and Premium is well-known for avoiding adding SKU's to their warehouse. As a result, they don't offer all the year-round or specialty offerings from every brewery to which they have exclusive distribution rights, and some of the breweries don't send Premium their full catalogue.

Pretty sure all of VA's BCBCS came and immediately went. By the time you hear of a place having it, it's too late.

 

A few cases of BCB Barleywine at Harris Teeter NoMa. Almost didn't see them-- they are next to the wine stack in the middle of the aisle near the front of the store (close to the beer singles). $13.99. Wonder if there will be another BCBS drop at the HTs later.

saw that rumor floated yesterday. Nova Hardywood rep has been adamant that no Rum GBS will hit distro. Maybe things changed?
