Lagunitas makes excellent beer, and it's always at a fair price, regardless of the style. For that reason, they're a brand I make an effort to support. I'll definitely be keeping my eyes out for this one.

FWIW Lagunitas website lists this as a December release, so maybe with release is not yet upon us.

Yes. I work at a bottle shop, and was told by Lagunitas rep, that'll be priced same as a pack of Waldo.

My local bottle shop in San Jose has confirmed that they are in stock at the distributor, but that they have not been given a release date from Lagunitas yet. So, they won't deliver it to stores. I'm not sure how ISO got it released early.

It will definitely be a deal at $15. It was just chance that I picked up a bomber on the first release and remember thinking it can't be that good at $10. By the time I tried it, it was all gone.

Yeah, I think I follow 7 South Bay places on instagram, and only ISO's gotten it so far. They also seem to have the in on Alvarado St cans.

You and me both! I LOVED this beer last year and still have 2 bombers left. I will definitely try for a couple of six packs...

I think i drank my bomber decorating the christmas tree last year (or was it the year before?) either way i was drinking their willet barrel stout with @That_Bearded_Guy the other day, and was thinking about how good the high westified was. Also the discussing how how lagunitas puts out some of the best values was discussed as well. keep on killing it.

Word from my local rep, now that Constellation owns High West we won't be seeing this beer ever again after this release. The good news, they'll be switching to Willett barrels next year.

Our whole foods has that on tap, or at least a willet whiskey stout. It was still really good.

So the same beer, but in different barrels? Or will they also take out the coffee addition?

not called "coffee stout" like the high westified is. mention of coffee flavors, but not a "coffee stout" i also don't remember tasting a lot of coffee.

or maybe they are going to make a willet COFFEE version as well.

Damn, one of the main reasons I love this one is that it's a coffee stout.

This hit Eastern Iowa today. Sounds like it won't be coming to Central Iowa at all, even though it's the same distributor that distributes Lagunitas to the entire state of Iowa. Don't realize how the biggest market in the entire state (Des Moines) get the shaft on this one? We didn't get bombers last year either, while Eastern Iowa did. Head scratcher!

    $11.99 at wegmans in NoVA.

Unreal beer at an even more unreal price. SERIOUSLY considering buying 3 or 4 cases.

Anyone know if 6-packs will be available from the breweries directly (chicago in my case)?

I had a bottle of this when it first came out and just remember it being a real WOW beer. Unfortunately, I wasn't taking notes at the time. But, I think I got a little different experience this time around. I just did a side by side with 2016 KBS.

I remember it being a little richer with more chocolate and coffee notes. This time around the flavors were all about sweet cream and whiskey. And, it smelled just like dark brown sugar. Yes, I did just stick my nose in a box of dark brown sugar to be sure. As compared to KBS, it is missing the extra roast that gives KBS a little more bitter chocolate flavor. It is also carries a little more lingering sweetness. Still a fine beer. I just wonder if the added time in barrels has changed the flavor profile.
