Just left palatine about 1 1/4 cases left.

 

From what I know, it's based on store sales of GI products. All stores will get a supply of regular BCBS, but there are only 50 cases of each variant being distributed between all of the Chicago area stores. Some of the stores are getting zero variants (I think like 10 stores or so). Some are getting only a few cases of variants. The Lincoln Park store is getting the most for sure.

Not sure if it'll make anybody mad for posting but it's been there for over 4 days so to hell with it: Binny's St Charles has 6 bottles of BW16 behind the service desk. Somehow it outlasted the regular. I already had 2 of those so I passed and grabbed Lizard of Koz which they just put out on the floor

 

Anybody know if it's worth it camping out at whole foods in wisconsin for variants?

 

Camping at Whole Foods? With all the hype from last year, I didn't hear very many stories of people being in line much before 6:30. I'd be surprised if that will change much this year. BTW, I was at one that everyone knew had Rare and there still were only a couple of people there before 6:30. YMMV, but so far I've had a much easier time finding variants than I did last year. Folks can say that coffee is in short supply, but I didn't have last year what I have now until mid-December.

Hopefully they will still have it tomorrow. I'd be nice to pay regular price for some Barley wine.

 

I was there at 8pm so there'll be some tomorrow. Not sure how long it'll last but at 1 per, who knows? This Binny's gets stuff later than some other stores but good stuff tends to linger as well

 

Really. They were like the first to get black note. They are still doing 1pp maybe I won't go. I was thinking that they had it since Friday and would lift the limit.

 

You St. Charles folks have any intel on the Meijer over there?

I went by there last night after work. The beer guy told me they are getting 3 cases of regular on Thursday and no variants.

 

Mariano's in Northfield (on Willow near Edens) got a single case of regular BCBS this morning. Last year they had 6-8 cases for sure (I was there), and the customer service gentleman confirmed that. Last year they also had no limit but because they got a single case this year, they are selling them 1pp, at $9.99 each.

Wow, VERY weird call to the Deerfield Whole Foods just now. They confirmed they are doing a BCBS release tomorrow but absolutely refused to confirm if they would have anything other than regular and told me it was a regional mandate. I get quantities are limited, first come first serve, and all that but it's hard to imagine not at least confirming the existence of variants at a store! Anyone else have this experience?
