Here and There is very nice. Sweet malt with honey and biscuit followed by a grassy, spicy hop bite. I effs with.

So am I the only one that noticed that Threes is releasing Eternal Return Apricot today...at noon...meaning one can pick up some OH DMD and then head to Threes for a bottle. Kill two birds with one stone.

I believe they'll also give you a third growler free today if you fill two.

Yes. Very bummed I'm leaving for thanksgiving early today and can't snag the full allotment myself. Although the kriek was just okay for me (not the biggest cherry guy) I thought raspberry was good and the Chardonnay was fantastic.

Had an argument with my buddy too about how $15 for a beer of this size is pretty expensive considering it isn't barrel aged. I know fruit isn't cheap and it takes up space but I sort of agreed with him.

I have not opened it just yet.

The price variation between the sneak preview last week relative to now is exclusively related to the functionality of our website. Our price at the brewery was tax inclusive, but our e-commerce provider doesn't enable "all in" pricing, so we lowered it $1 for online sales to account for that.

As for the argument about this release being "expensive", all of our prices are correlated to the cost of making each beer. As you noted, fruit is not cheap - neither are the associated costs with aging a beer. We made the conscious decision to age this variety in stainless steel for brighter fruit character. We hope that when you try it you think it was worth the price.

Gotcha, thanks for the explanation, all that I was asking for.

Wasn't my point about the barrel-aging thing, just a buddies thought. I agree with these stone fruits that steel maceration will probably lead to a brighter fruit character - looking forward to popping it! Might buy another bottle online. Apricots (local too) are certainly expensive and I definitely don't think you guys are trying to price gauge anyone.

Thanks for taking the time to respond as always!

Can I get a growler fill at any time the brewery is open or just the 12-6 hours the shop is open? And I can bring my own growler, correct? Thanks

Heh. We didn't take it as an accusation at all, Eric... just sharing perspective. Thanks for the ongoing support of our brewery.

The shop is definitely the quickest way to get your growler filled, but you can come in any time the bar is open and we'll fill for you too. Please just be aware that if it's super busy (prime dinner time, weekends, etc) there may be a slight wait time. And yes, as long as your growler is clean, we'll fill it.

I drank mine over the weekend and enjoyed it thoroughly. I kept thinking of Sweet Tarts as I drank it. In the past, I noticed that Threes was pretty active on here in adding their beers to the database, but I did not find a listing for this particular beer and added it and put a very basic review (my days of thorough reviews are in the past, I think).

I have one more bottle and would happily buy a couple more, although I two am a bit hesitant based on the price; not so much because I find it expensive for the style or in comparison with other similar brews (think of the price of Tilquins, for example), but just because I will go broke shelling out that much for one beer regularly given how much other beer I buy.

They've released a number of variations on TYA since the first round of hype it got on this thread. I'm cautiously optimistic this will be the best version of it, but I'll be honest not all of the subsequent varieties blew me away the way the first batch did.
