I was wondering if anyone had any more information for this new brewery that will hopefully be opened early next year. So far I've heard it will be opening in Washington street (a block or two from Doyle's) and the brewer is another Harpoon alumnus. Living in JP, we have quite a few places with great tap choices (Canary Square, Brendan Behans, and even the great dive The Galway house $4.50 craft drafts).

Though I always dreamed a brewpub or taproom would open. Any information on this would smoothen my anticipation.

I live right off of Washington and this pleases me. Also great taps at Casa Verde as well.

Oh yeah, forgot about them too. Very obscure tap list and great tacos.

I live in that area, and would love to see a brewpub/taproom open up in the neighborhood. I heard from someone a few months ago about a couple in the neighborhood who were planning to open a small brewery--I'm wondering if this is it. No other info than that, but I hope this is a real thing.

Canary, Beehan, Casa Verde, and Galway all have solid to stellar beer lists, especially considering the prices compared to across the river. I miss the James's Gate, which would make a great spot for a brewpub (but will probably more likely to become condos), and the Frogmore, Eugene O'Neil's, and Bella Luna all have decent beer lists too. What I miss from across the river is a good brewery where you can get a pint. I'm not expecting another world-class CBC (which I still try to get to as frequently as possible), but I would love to see a solid brewery-taproom open up.

Frank, a place even remotely similar too CBC in style of ales and prices would be a wet dream. Dorchester Brewing Company is very good and close by now, but it would be still great to have a taproom you could walk too.

Yay Boston sprouting breweries in its outer neighborhoods 10-15ish years late, better than never. This is indeed exciting to see all the ways urban New England is finally coming together brewery wise. Those days of claiming to be a world class beer destination were questionable between about Y2k and 2012 or so. But not any more with all the new greatness. Excited for something in JP!

Anyone heard any more information on this? I've seen the owners' business cards, but have heard nothing additionally.

My guess is it would be on Brookley or Stonley Road a few blocks from Doyles. There is a lot of light industrial stuff back there. The LLC is registered a few blocks from there but it appears to be a residence. I've thought that a brewery could do well there with the Sam Adams/Doyles runoff, T access and a bunch of new condos being built in the neighborhood.

If it is on Brookley hopefully they have a nice patio outside to enjoy the soothing sounds of reggaton blasting from the car wash and to admire the speed at which the custom Honda Civics reach while flying down the street.

Sam Adams is opening up a tap room near the brewery soon as well.

Since we're talking the neighborhood...wanted to throw out there that I work in a new store near the Forest Hills station on Hyde Park called Forest Hills Fine Wine. We have a large craft beer selection and try to do our best. We carry localish stuff like Night Shift, Aeronaut, Mystic, Oxbow, Cambridge, Finback, Banded Horn. Occasionally we get Trillium. Our selection should double in the next 3 months or so (fingers crossed).

There was an update on a facebook forum in Jamaica Plain, apparently the taproom has just broken ground. It's part of a new development. It's either going to be left side across from English High School or up the street near the Stan hats off gas. I'm sure we'all know more soon.

I walked by this past weekend, and by the looks of it, they're doing some pretty significant work on the building--fixing it up and adding on. I was really glad to see lots of references to a taproom in the Instagram posts. I'm really looking forward to their opening.

Seems like they're moving fast. They already have containers for their crawlers:
