Hey guys, I am an out of towner (Chicago) and will be in the area around the time of the Superbowl. Whenever I go somewhere on vacation that I know has good breweries I try to hit them up and gather as much info as possible. Does Monkish do just 1 can release a week? Is there any sort of schedule at all as to what day? Cheers

 

They've been trying to aim for 1 can release a week but still getting in the flow of things so there's no rhyme or reason at the moment as far as releases go.

No set schedule. Releases are announced day of on their website and instagram (a couple hours before as of late).

 

Thanks for that, it seems like its Tuesday thru Thursday are the release day window though?

 

Varies - they still do Friday and weekend releases.

The last release was the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. The one before it (Bomb Atomically) was Friday.

 

They do Fridays as well. Used to be every other Saturday but now those are pretty rare.

 

Simply put - don't plan for Monkish. In fact, unless you REALLY want cans, the stuff that is on tap is still amazing. Their growler fills on the regular are some top tier stuff that they don't can. You don't need to know when the can releases will be, and let's be frank, this far out from Super Bowl, it pretty much is a crap shoot that they even carry on the same sort of thing.

So yeah, forget the can releases and just go there on any night, that's the only info you really need to know. Hours of operation and what not as well.

 

Appreciate it, I definitely will plan to stop in once, if not twice to the tap room. It would just be a nice bonus to head back to Chicago with some cans as well. I'll just hope to get lucky on that front.

330 people should be able to get some if the max is 3 (4) packs. If my math checks out.

Wonder how much it would reduce the line if they limit one 4-pack per person from the very start.

Assuming everyone maxes out today:
@ 3pp = 330 people get cans
@ 2pp = 495 people get cans

If you're going to sell them all in one night, why not reduce the limits per person so that 165 more people can have a chance at getting cans?

 

How about 1 can per person and nearly 4,000 people can get it!
