Any high Westfield sightings in MD?

 

None in Frederick yet. Asked today after work.

 

Saw the big cans today in my store in Frederick MD. $16 for 19oz. I put it back on the shelf, based on the not so stellar ratings. Got a much cheaper can of 5Beans by Sixpoint and am very pleased with that beer.

Also price check...750 ml bottles of Abraxas for $35? Is that standard at that price? Those will collect dust and move about as slow as Cascade sours and 50/50 Eclipse at that outragous price.

 

Abraxas tends to sell around $25 in DC, so that's crazy. I saw quite a few at Westover in Arlington today and didn't even ask how much, because they also crazy.

 

Just got back from there, they ran out.

 

I did just that - got a sixer of Westified at the same time I bought the BA Ten Fidy. And it was cheaper for the 6.

 

I think people will be hard pressed to find a better value than the Westified. Is it BCBS or KBS, no. But at 12-13 per six pack, it's amazing! The one hitter series from Lagunitas is off the charts. Can't wait to hear what the next one is.

 

Even though they fucked up Sucks, Lagunitas is good shit.

 

What did they do to it. I remember loving it, and then not so much. I just assumed my tastebuds changed.

 

Haven't had it recently. So Sucks actually sucks now?

 

I got a holiday 12 pack of it. It's kinds harsh, too much alcohol taste. Definitely something different than the Sucks we all fell in love with.

 

I got the last three singles at Norm's. Damn, they blew through five cases without it even getting mentioned in this thread.

 

BBA Ten Fidy has a 98 on this site and an average rating of 4.51. If that's "not so stellar," I would love to hear what you drink regularly, and possibly to bask in the luster of what you drink regularly.

 

I stand corrected and sorry for the misinformation. I didn't look up the actual ratings/reviews yet, but just based it on what I recalled a few people commenting about the beer on the forum boards. 4.51 rating is definitely a worthy beer (hundreds of ratings as well). As I scrolled through the people who did reviews, many of the high ratings were experienced BAs as well so I may actually revisit buying a can over the next few days.

 

That's pretty much what I'm getting now as well (kinds harsh/booziness) Used to have a lot more citrus hop aroma than what I get now as well.

 

Tweak is also in the top 250. Let's see where BA Ten Fidy is at in a few years

 

Places are really breaking the High Westified down into singles? What a fucking joke.

 

FWIW, I really like BA Ten Fidy. Good Barrel character and nice n roasty. Was it a little over priced? Sure it was, but what beer isn't around here? If 15 bucks is gonna break the bank then don't get it.

 

I kind of agree but at the same time I've been looking for it all week and haven't had any luck yet, its flying off shelves.

 

It's amazing what has dropped in the past two weeks. I want to buy it all but can't.
