Finback Brewery (2018)

Only problem there is the BQEs are 16.9oz and not 750s unless there was something to indicate different bottling for the box set.

 

I don't think the pricing is outrageous for the many reasons that have been posted, it should be noted though that bottles were $16 .

 

Why is not outrageous to think that a glass costs more than $10 is absurd? Its a fucking glass. Oh wait its a Teku. My bad...

 

Was not aware of the 16.9 oz size. It is a bit pricey then for that size, but still not terrible IMO.

 

Aside from a PayPal confirmation that "you've sent a payment" have you received anything else to indicate you secured the box? PayPal was acting quite wonky throughout the checkout process, had to sign-in 5-6 times, tried in a different browser, was also prompted to login as basil@finback which was confusing. While I have a confirmation from PayPal I'm not entirely sure I secured a box. Anyone else with a similar experience?

 

I had all the same issues and only have the paypal confirmation along with the subtraction of funds from my account.

 

No issues with PayPal, got the receipt of purchase.

I commented on their IG post and tweeted at them asking if they would e-mail any sort of confirmation or receipt. Plenty of breweries have oversold things like this when there isn't a set amount stock (not sure how invoicing/stock for PayPal works).

Anyway, I think just an e-mail confirmation of the order + the pick-up details would be the least a company could do...

 

Just recieved an email from Finback confirming the box set + details on pickup.

FWIW they're releasing Oscillation 007, Miasma Black IPA and Parallelogram (hoppy saison) in Cans on Dec 10

excited to try the black IPA,
its one of my favorite styles of beer i think due to the low availability of it or maybe just the seasonal aspect of it. Hard to come across good ones last ones i remember enjoying alot were doug and epitome hoping this one is good too

 

Whole Foods Gowanus said they were going to get some Finback cans in stock soon. Any one else heard this?

 

Wouldn't be surprised if it was just their flagship stuff, lots of shops get their IPA cans but not the limited stuff like Cell and Oscillation. I'd love to be proven wrong though.

 

I've only had their stuff on tap. What beers are considered their flagships?

 

Their "standard" IPA. I don't know if they consider it their flagship, its just the term I used.

 

Anyone know the hop bill on Oscillation 007?

 

Oscillation 7, Miasma, and Parallelogram can releases to go along with BQE.

 

Can anyone whos tried them comment on the other cans?

 

Can anyone who's been to prior releases here give an idea of how crazy or (hopefully) not crazy it will be? should I get in line an hour early? or can I show up at any point in the afternoon and grab some bottles?

Ive been to the past BQE releases, always gotten there an hour early and been fine, maybe 30th in line. That said, they have been getting more popular.
