Bourbon County 2016 - Release Spots & Events

Haven't opened any yet, but the Ralph's in Riverside (Canyon Crest) had at least 5 cases stacked up of 2016 BCBS last night. I bought a couple bottles, $9.99. If you haven't had any luck finding the regular version, I'd suggest checking a Ralph's that carries bombers.

 

Any other sightings in NorCal? Fingers crossed for coffee.

 

Coffee was by far the hardest to find in the Bay Area. I went to 7 different shops. Out of that only 2 got coffee. And I got one bottle.

 

Out of curiosity, would you mind sharing which shops had the coffee?

 

Good find. I was able to swing by and pick up a few bottles. The price is right.

Still had 5 1/2 cases.

 

I wish Ralph's in my area carries them. Seems doubtful, none carried them last year. Though other places carried them like Whole Foods and wallgreens

 

Only about a case and a few bottles left as of an hour a go...

 

Does that include the two cases that were in the cooler?

 

Man it's crazy, apparently Santa Clara county didn't even get variants this year. According to staff at Palo Alto Fine Wine and Spirits.

My usual hookup did not get any coffee at all this year. Tried a few other places, no dice.

I did'nt go anywhere on Black Friday though, this was over last weekend.

Was just there 30 minutes ago and there was 3 cases on the ground, 1 in the cooler, and a half empty case. They must of had more in the back.

 

I contemplated the same thing. If I didn't already have 8 bottles of the stuff, I would've done the same. Great price, no hassle. The lady who rang me up was shocked at how *expensive* it was for "beer".

 

Did you tell her about how the current release of Pabst Blue Ribbon is especially tasty?

 

I got Coffee at Royal Liquors in San Jose a week before Black Friday. It was limit 1 per and went fast. Tbh it was pretty disappointing, so I don't think you missed out on much. I'm still looking for Barleywine, hopefully some shows up.

 

I would like to try the Barleywine, never had the BCBW. Any lingering around in OC/IE?

 

I haven't seen any in SF Bay Area but thanks to @bmmcglynn I was informed that Mother of all Storms was at K&L Wines which is freaking awesome (and will have to substitute for it) so I've stopped looking for BCBW anymore.

How's their prices?

 

About $1-2 more than most spots in my experience.
