@BruerJoel is the PB/GM that is up a second-chance sale or is that our original allocation and an order will get deleted?

Older vintage GM sold out ('14). I'm surprised Mash & Coconut is still hanging around.

Just curious, are these locally available and reasonably priced? If the ingredients you use aren't, they won't let you win. You have to make it easy enough for them to reproduce and still make a profit.

That being said, make me some nilla Tuesday

Let me put it this way, they already use way more expensive and harder to obtain ingredients in their current beers.

Any reccomendation on safe amounts of ground or split bean to add to a 750ml bottle (and how long to wait)? I've been wanting to craft a BTRV but am worried about going overboard.

You have to experiment, hard to say, I usually use my matcha spoon to just add beans (so it's very small amounts), but you can also just add whole pods, use vanilla paste or bourbon extract. Either way, few hours in the french press in the fridge works best, that's why I'm not sure how well those are going to blend tomorrow within only a few hours. Figured ground beans should work best with shorter exposure times.

Cool video, looking forward to trying the new beer!

New Announcement on the Reserve and Hoarders FB Page:

We’re on the cusp of premiering the first installment in a brand new series. As you can expect, there’s a high degree of bottled up intrigue and enthusiasm - especially from our storied series that have preceded it over the past eight years. What’s the excitement all about and who came out to see it? Check it out.

It’s a new era in pushing and blurring the boundaries between wine and beer with our revered imperial stout. It begins on Monday with your allocations.

    Speaking of which:
    - do judges taste blindly?
    - how big are the teams? 3-4 people or more?

Just be careful about the You Tube recommendations that pop up after you watch it! Hah!

You submit your beer with your beer name on a card. The judges then take them away and come back later with a winner. What they do behind closed doors I have no clue. You literally give it to them in a glass container that is marked at 400ml so they know you provided the correct amount. Whether they then put those into further generic cups, I have no clue.

As for team size, 5-6 seems to be about normal, although I've seen a couple smaller groups if people no show. I think last year there was one team with just 2 people.

That's cool, I was mostly interested if they know which ingredients where used before trying the beer. Thanks for the info!

Two bottles are included for 2016 Hoarders Society members. Both Reserve and Hoarders Society members will be able to purchase bottles in December allocations on Monday.
