I was thinking of making the trip out but decided to commit resources to High West Coffee, Hammer of the Beast, and BQE. I'll wait for that Red Wine Luci! Someone post some tasting notes on those BA Stouts when they're cracked!

Basically. Im still hitting Interboro as well. One doesn't eliminate the other.

Again, this comes back to the way OH announces their releases. Believe me, I get it. They are trying to sell out as fast as possible.

Some people say its because they don't have enough room for storage. I get it. I've been there. It is small. However, they have had plenty of beers sit around a few days to a week after the initial release without selling out. Has that impacted them negatively? Not that I know of. Are they offerring discounts in hopes to push the product faster? Nope. Money on Saturday is the same a money on next Wednesday.

Others say they do it to drive up the hype. I can certainly agree with this. Does anyone think that if they announced the release say Friday night or Saturday morning that they still wouldn't sell out if the beer was/sounded good? In fact, it would probably stagger the sales over the entire day, allowing more people to enjoy a beer in the tap room after can purchases. How many of the 400-500 people on line now are going to be able to fit in the tap room to enjoy a beer or two?

Been stated in these threads a bunch of times. They have a limited amount of space and ideally need to get those cans out the door very quickly. Aside from can releases, come Monday morning, they have a brewery to run in there, constantly brewing, kegs going out the door, can't gum up the works with cases and cases of beer in the way.

Any ire in these threads should be directed at the fervor of people who have to get every single release, every single time which contributes to insane lines. OH did locals a solid by having this beer on tap all week so people could get it without having to deal with lines.

Can someone post a pic of the current taproom board? Might swing by after Interboro for the dregs and a fill.

Of course, I think what we are saying is you can go to Interboro and be in and out and not have to wait in line for 4 hours for what many would say is a better beer. Hey, I'm not judging some people enjoying hanging in line and have a good time and some don't. To each their own

OH's hype and line are well earned. The "many people" saying Interboro is better are the same people who spout the same stuff in Sand City, LIC, and any other up-and-coming brewery thread. It's just natural. When you make it to the top people wanna start tearing you down and say you aren't all that. People hate on Grimm now too in ways they never used to. It's the circle of hype.

I don't think Interboro,LIC,Greenpoint,Grimm,OH,Threes or any other local breweries are that much better than the other ones..to warrant standing in line for hours..there are options just as good without having to deal with all the bullshit and falling for the hype..IMO
