Some of y'all might be interested to know, Wander (in the eyes of one member here) is doing another blatant cash grab. A limited number of Single EYEPA cans are being delivered to Chucks CD, Chucks Greenwood, Beer Junction and Hop and Hound today. Had one with @NWer a couple days ago. Not bad, for brewery that hates IPAs.

The On the Spot I had few nights ago in your company was god damned tasty too.

Have to say I really enjoyed Structures Carcosa last night. Perfect balance of sourness and fruit. The can of the IPA I drank was damn good too. Haven't tried the Ognam yet. Anyone wavering on heading over there, definitely check 'em out.

The Carcosa was good, just didn't hit me right, The IPA was very nice. The rest of the taplist was enjoyable. Sadly though, there was no cake.

Did the Structures cans sell out or is there still a chance Chucks might get some?

Don't know, but they were moving quickly when I was there yesterday.

That's what they were at the brewery. Did they get the Ognam bottles too?

Didn't see any, but I wasn't really looking closely.

Pretty sure they have no plans to send anything but hoppy offerings down to Seattle, and even then, only stuff that isn't sold the during the weekend. The whole reason they're even sending down cans is to make sure that beer gets consumed as fresh as possible. Other styles without that fleeting window of freshness don't need to be sold right away.

Have to say I really liked Ognam. Sourness is on the more subtle end rather than being rip your tongue off tart, which the mango plays alongside nicely. Tasty dry finish too.

I suppose I could drop this in the Stout thread, but, leaving it here will lessen the hype. Wander dropped Earlybird yesterday. It's an Imperial Breakfast Stout with oats, Lactose, Dulce de Leche (whatever that is) and then aged 18 months in Woodinville Whiskey American Whiskey barrels. 750s and draft at the brewery, don't know if bottles will hit distro, will ask next time I'm in. Doesn't seem like it's gonna be my thing, but I'll bet it's pretty good.

Bottles will see distribution starting today, there will be very limited draft out and about as well. I remember when the base Breakfast Stout came out and it was quite good. 18 months is certainly a while, I don't know if they blended back any fresh beer, but I look forward to trying it for sure.

The second annual Bootlegger Series release party is set for December 21, 6-9pm in the Mountain Room at Boundary Bay. Available bottles will be Bretta Whiskey Fever (Bretted and barrel-aged Cabin Fever), and two versions of Oatmeal Stout, Bourbon and Whiskey, aged in Chuckanut Distillery barrels. Draft offerings will include Siren, Sea Bear, and Arethusa, descriptions to follow.

It's a confection made by slowly heating sweetened milk. For a guy who spends a lot of time on the Internet, you should try using it one of these days.

BTW, I like Wander and Breakfast Stouts, so I'll be on the look-out for that one. Thanks for the tip.

Being as the beer in question is a "Breakfast beer", and, seeing lactose as already being mentioned, I assumed that this stuff was a form coffee. Which I hate. So, I had no motivation to burn any electrons up on the stuff. Whatevs. if I swing by the brewery over the weekend, I'll likely try a taster, but I don't think it's a beer I'll be interested in, so, y'all can have at it.

I didn't know you harbored such a strong aversion towards coffee, Terry. But now that I do, I feel like I have a penetrating new insight concerning your general grumpiness.
