I don't even really see Perrin at too many places as is, so that might be why you haven't seen it.

And @UcDru asked that I call out someone else from Ohio when I finish this time. Maybe someone who sullied my good name.

Thanks for the info. Been wondering about when and where it was going to show up. Long time want for me. I was going to pull the trigger on one if I had the opportunity, but I don't want to enter a contest or put a lot of effort into chasing one down for the reward of spending $200 either. I think I will just buy a couple bottles of Bookers and some beer:slight_smile:

Notice ram restaurant and brewing just opened in Columbus, is this the same brewery that makes ram juicy or something entirely different

I noticed the same thing. From what I understand the brewer at Ram Schaumberg (Chicago) brews amazing speciality stuff that is exclusive to that location. Would be awesome if those recipes were shared to other locations...

I could also be totally wrong but that's what I put together a few weeks ago by digging around on other BA threads for about 15 mins.

Ram is a chain similar to Rock Bottom where each has their own brewer. The Ram that produces Juicy/Chaos and etc is outside of Chicago.

If my experience at RAM CBUS is the norm it will be closed in a year (which I would not mind). I actually wished it was in a Rock Bottom at this point as they seem to have the basics in place. The staff was terrible all around - everyone seemed pissed/unhappy to be there and we felt like an inconvenience that we were there. The trash - man the trash! Dirty plates left on every table we could see, napkins and food all over the floor - it was a gross mess.

Wow that's interesting--those two did those GLBC dinner tours together that went from one Bruell resto to the next. It was pretty fun, and I'm sure that had a lot to do with this hookup. Looking forward to the food pairings.

Hopefully they will do some quality stuff... Been to a few of the newer CLE area places lately and most I won't really plan to go back to for a while. Talking with an equipment supplier, there is at least another 3 breweries coming in 2017 for Cleveland (by them alone)... This was one of the original four I heard about. The market is going to be pretty crowded by the end of 17'! Just hopefully we are not stuck with a bunch of mediocre stuff.

My concern is that in the article, the brewer mentions brewing beers that will appeal to the masses... Not the best sign to me... Brewing for volume. Doesn't mean they won't be awesome beers, but I just don't like the idea of a brewer conforming to "easy sell" beers and not just doing whatever the hell they want.

Pretty sure he said he'd start with some easy drinking beers and also do some experiments. I think the point is that the brewery will deliver some nice basic riverside staples and not 400 DIPA's and adjunct stouts, which I think is great.

Luke is one hell of a brewer and I'm excited to see when he does at the helm instead of rowing the Conway's ship. If Great Lakes had allowed him more creativity and supported him earlier, they would be a much more edgy brewery IMO.

"Regular" Ram is terrible. Why they don't pay this Sean guy who actually makes good beer to take over their whole program I don't know....

I actually hope he starts his own thing soon.
