I think it was reported that it hit TW Alexandria and Springfield last week.

According to beermenus, Wf FB still has BCBS rare, BW, regal and regular. Haven't checked with my own eyes but maybe plausible- they don't claim to have coffee.

Adding to my previous post of enablers, if anyone wants a bottle of 12 year lot B Van Winkle you can get one for the completely reasonable price of $399.99 at Calvert Woodley.

Also, if you want 15, 20, or 23 year they are available at several shops priced between 1-10k.

And for all the VA folks paying attention, ABC put a lottery up for the other day for the chance to buy a PVW 15. Unfortunately (or fortunately) I missed out. Am going to try my luck at the other two lotteries.

Not sure exactly, but considerably more than that, at least $20. Seems like you lucked out!

Thanks. I thought that price I got was low. Considered getting more (there were several bottles, not sure if there was a limit, probably gone now anyway at that price), but figured $13 was about the limit of what I wanted to pay for that beer.

Just opened a bottle of 2014 Bell's Expedition and it was amazing. Opened a second a few days later and thought the same. There's still some bittering hop presence but I thought it was perfectly balanced against all the rich chocolate and roasted malt.
Anybody else out there w/ this in their cellar? Wondering if it's prime or if it gets even better w/ some more time?

Expedition and Palo Santo Marron are two of my favorite easily accessible beers to put away for a couple years. I buy one or two each year and just forgot about them and pull one out in the 2-3 year range every six months or so. Delicious.
