As someone who has aged both, I think regular Plead the Fifth ages much better than the BBA version.

    Just one punter's opinion.

I usually age beers to taste differences. Seems a bit odd to age them if they taste the same to you?

How would I have known if I didn't try it?

I also really enjoy having beers around that I don't need to be in a rush to get to.

I was #404 last year and got Bourbrum. Didn't try for anything else because of the stated bottle counts that were on the order forms. Roll in Friday and drink all you want if you're crashing in your car.

I got there around 3:30 pm and got everything last year that I wanted, but everything was still available.

Mind telling what time you got there to be #404? A couple friends are flying into Chicago and then we're heading up - half of us should get there around 4, the rest I'd guess around 7.

Actually, you can get a DUI if you're in the car and the keys are on your person. It's ridiculous, but it is possible.

Honestly, your best bet is to just get a cheap hotel.

Looking forward to seeing some of you there.

Last year was the first time with the new process. Although DH says they say they will let you stay in the Beer Garden all night, they were kindly moving us along last year. I guess if you are sleeping or tenting in there they might let you. Usually I sleep in my car, and it was late so probably a good thing they sent us to bed.

I sleep in my car, with it on, and the heat on. Sure it is a risk, but I would be surprised if the Marshall police are walking up and down every car to see if it is on and if people are sleeping inside with keys. Plus I feel like I am doing the responsible thing and not being an idiot.

Eccentric Day is still my favorite beer event of the year. Was going to go with the wife but her work schedule didn't line up.

What time did you pick your allotments on Saturday ?

If you go Saturday morning, you should still be able to get both of those. They were available into the next week last year if I recall correctly. I got there around 5pm last year and was one of the very last ones to get a full allotment.

BBPt5 ages just fine, but nothing beats it fresh. The BourbRum and Sarsaparilla 666 from last year both had some over-carbonation issues after a few months... and the 666 actually exploded in people's cellars (including mine).

I'll be there early afternoon this year because I like skipping work, freezing my ass off, and drinking beer with strangers.

Later than they were ready. 7 or 8. I'm guessing they were ready around 3.

Last year it was also 55 degrees and sunny. This year, forecast is high 20's, low 30's with slush/snow, so that will probably affect the line.

With that forecast, I'm for sure rolling up around 6.30/7.

That was my thought. Nice weather brings people out. It's not going to be nice.
