OH isn't responsible for the people who show up. It's not like they can have a screening/interview process for those who want to wait on line. All they can do is make the line smoother, which they have done so already with the cash line etc. So for now we should all just wait for the expansion.

And that's a step in the right direction. Stouts only releases.

I know it's not apples to apples - and I know whenever we try to come up with analogies on BA they always get picked apart.

But that said - if we were neighbours and I liked to have a rager every second Saturday night. And every time, some bad apples from my party got in the habit of standing on your lawn and drinking and leaving empties and pissing on your plants.

Would you not expect to be able to raise that to me, and have me take a certain level of responsibility, and tell you I'd do something about it? Or would you take same tack as you are with OH, and be totally satisfied if I say "not my responsibility for the people that show up". After all these are people behaving badly off my property right?

I think the big question for this weekend is, will the $h1tl0rds line up at OH or Finback first? Cuz you know theyre going to both. Hmmmmmmmm.......

Finback is opening early, so if theyre lining up, they can't do both. Or can they?

They most certainly should be responsible for the behavior of their customers.

If they made the line smoother with less wait time you probably wouldn't have hours and hours of people acting like dickheads.

Until OH's neighbors complain by calling the police, nothing will be done about it. It's obvious because nothing HAS been done about it.

OH really could walk up and down the line and call the police on anyone behaving badly (which that's the only way they probably can kick someone off their line, cause you know those people won't just leave if a staff member says to go). Then the whole thing gets shut down.

And I get your rager example, but most people who throw "ragers'' don't care or would even listen to their neighbors, so police get involved.

I think their allotments are getting out of hand. They've got enough beer for 180 people which is what, roughly a line to the end of Garnet?

They are both opening at noon so they will have to start at one and move to the other and they will most certainly be going to both. Will they line up at Finback or OH first? Hard to say...

I think if they line up at Finback theres no chance any of the OH stouts will be available once they're done in Queens. Gonna have to choose.

All I'm really saying is DURING the release, when there is a line, all they really can do is call the police, or the neighbors can call the police. Maybe in a perfect world they can have some security service standing on line? But for them to prevent these things from happening is lowering limits and figuring out some way to make the line smaller. Maybe do the whole order form thing so people are in and out of the garage faster. So hopefully this expansion will help, just have to wait and see.

I dont understand the whole cash line thing. I'm glad it was there last week, as I was able to skip a couple people but I dont think its any faster than swiping a credit card... what slows down the line is the guys getting your beer, not the payments...

Cash means OH avoids credit card transaction fees

Wait, you think that is worse than the parent bringing their kid to stand in line for 5-6 hours to buy food? Edit: beer, not food.

OH can do something about the bad apples: refuse to serve them. That's what plenty of other bars and restaurants and businesses do. Someone comes into an establishment (or outside, up front, wherever) and acts a fool, that business has the right to and generally does ban said individual. I know a few bars I'm not quite allowed back at. Haha.

Long story short, OH can do plenty if that was their priority.

It's just unfortunate because it seems as though they don't care. If they haven't done anything about it already, I just don't see them addressing it anytime soon.

Hopefully their neighbors are walking in their garage as we speak to speak with them about what's been happening.

    60 cases of Rum BA Orbit & Red Wine In Absentia x 12 bottles/case รท 4 bottles/allotment = 180 allotments.

    Yeah, that's absolutely ridiculous.
