Walked right by $13.99 six packs today. First time I ever saw this beer. Shame that it will still be there cone spring and the market will keep wondering why no one buys beer from them. My take is in a year they will only sell BMC type beer. In less than 6 months the beer selection has been cut by at least 75%.

    Enjoy

I mean their core is not BMC type beer. So.

The mouthfeel on this beer is incredible. Not typical of a "pale ale" but it's amazing.

I've only had two bottles but both were equally amazing. About 3 weeks fresh on each.

Next year, if this gets a national release again, I'm definitely picking up a 6-er. Just a delicious beer.

I heard that Lagunitas is working on an experimental method to preserve fresh hops so that this type of beer can be made in large quantities throughout the year. I think that's what the whole "Born Again Yesterday" beer was all about that popped up on tap this past summer.

Yeah, here's Tony's post from earlier in the year on that thought.

Had a couple bottles of the "less hazy" version tonight.

It was simply overly bitter and tasted a bit harsh. Not terrible, but the "less hazy" version really fell off the face of the earth after a month.

They were refridgerated the entire time I had them, but my brother purchased them last week I believe, and I don't know how they were stored at the store that he purchased them at.

I didn't mind the "less hazy" version when it was younger, it was tasty enough. But it definitely fell off quickly. I wish I had a "hazy" version for comparison.

For what it's worth, I thought the "hazy" version when it first came out was right up there with the highly touted "New England" style IPAs, both in the bottle and on draft.

Just picked up two sixers yesterday in Howard County MD, liquor store had the last two six packs hidden in the cooler as I went "in search of". $12.99 and both are cloudy and fantastic.

Just to report from out here in the middle(kansas), I was surprised to walk into my usual store in a small town and find a case of this at 10.99 a sixer. Bought them all. It is the hazy version. Still fantastic! It's just over a month old. I will force myself to get through all of it over the holiday weekend. It may not be up to you super fresh east coasters standards, but for around here it's a no brainer. Cheers

I'm probably a month late, but has anyone seen this beer in Boston or Greater Boston?

Well Damn... I usually don't like to jump on bandwagons like this but I would confirm that this is definitely not as juicy and fresh as it was... I guess that's to be expected.... Local shop just tapped a half barrel and I filled up a growler this morning... It's still quite good, mind you... Just not quite as good... I'm not getting any of the onion flavor but it has lost some of its pungency... I guess this sounds like I'm nitpicking and I guess in a way I am but I consider it more of a service announcement to "Drink em while you got em..." I don't see this improving from this point

Down to my last sixer. It smells vibrant and lively, but the taste does seem to go in the more dull direction, maybe even feeling a touch flat. The ride was amazing. I couldnt tell you how many sixers or cases I went through.

Sadly, my local TW seemed to have sold more to me than a combined metro area of 1 million ppl, They even moved some into a more visible area and 8 cases just sat for 2 weeks straight. They started with 8 cases.

Unless it drops in price to less than $8/sixer, I just cant see myself force drinking an "inferior" product.

Last year, I had visible breaks between bottles of this. I had some late November and then mid December. So my mind was likely pretty okay to "newness". But here, after having almost 1 a day since its release, the dullness is kicking in. I don't see me trying this around christmas and having some sort of revelation.

As spoiled as we are, I would still take the old version over 90% of what is being sold in area grocery stores, beer stores etc.... The vibrancy in aroma is still there. But there is something missing now. Anymore it feels like I am just drinking the last of them to get them out of my sight. But a revival try in 3 weeks may be in order. I can't let 8 cases go to total waste. I'm totally flip flopping my opinion here. Apologies

I'd almost rather have something else all together than a product that once was a 98/100, but now a mere 85/100. It may be better than 90% of other APAs out there, but at this point in time, I tend to go towards the stouts this time of year.

I bought four 6-packs and I have one bottle left in my refrigerator. When this beer was only a couple of weeks old I thought it was absolutely AWESOME. The beer is now over a month old and is still quite good but needless to say it has diminished. I feel good about buying these beers (two purchases) but I will not be buying anymore of these beers.

    Cheers!

Great beer.. haphazardly found a remaining 6 pack in a nearby small family owned grocery store a couple of days ago. Wondering if they knew of a way to make something like this year round

This beer is still awesome! If any very hyped brewery released this beer it would shoot up the list of best beers.

How much higher can it go? It's currently sitting as the #8 APA in the world, behind only ZD, Sue, and some Fort Point variants. That's damn good company to be in, and Born Yesterday deserves to be in there IMO. IMO this year's version was the best nationally produced / distributed "shelf" beer that I've ever had.

It's always been a really good beer, but this year's was really special I thought. Most years I grab a sixer, maybe two. This year, I went nuts and didn't drink much of anything else from mid-October through about Thanksgiving and went through a case and a half / two cases. Just sooo damn good.
