    Although reiterating many of the same consumed today, this is the first I've had since its inaugural release in February/March of 2015. Although the third batch released, this 'One Hitter Series' stands to be the first time Lagunitas released this beer in 12oz bottles (the previous two versions released in 22oz & draught and labeled as part of their 'ScareCity' project). Thankfully, this batch does not disappoint and the quality remains: the barrel presence is significant, the body is perfect and the coffee (although a background player) is more prominent than what I remember...well played! However, Rye (Whiskey) Barrels impart a much more dry, spicier component as compared to aging in Bourbon Barrels and might not be a profile that would entice everyone:

    Just finished the last assignment for my grad courses this semester. Always tired at the end of the semester but excessively so for this one. Probably just because it's the end of a long semester.

    Introducing my daughter to The Santa Clause series tonight, well up until her bedtime at least, so felt this was nice and appropriate. Good gingerbread flavor and easy to drink.
