This line is moving at a snails pace.

Makes the BUTS line seem fast.

Had a small pour in the taproom. It's great! Hazy, juicy, Mosaic bomb. One of the better Oscillations for sure.

Arrive at 1, left at 240, so yeah that's not cool. Oscillation is awesome though, and the line was almost in the door when we left.

Got in line at 1235 and didnt get to the cash register until 215. They need to have more than one register. It took approximately 2 minutes per transaction. Way too long.

Oscillation tastes pretty good right now.

I go to finback roughy once a year for BQE release and it hasn't changed. They need more than one point of sale for releases. I get that it's nice that the owners are selling you beer, it's cute, but now that they've got the recognition they deserve they need to step it up.

Showed up a little before 4pm, parked right out front, waited through a three person line, got exactly what I wanted.

    Easy.

Got there at 11am got beer in hand at 1PM. The weather wasn't as nice as last year unsurprisingly (35 degrees colder) but was painless until they opened and I was standing in the same spot for about 15 min just outside the door. Thought they had two iPads last year ringing up but I may be wrong.
They have a huge space and I don't think they utilize it in a proper way for releases. The small taco table on the left could have been in the corner and they could have formed a serpentine line and fit most of the people inside and have a chance to drink before buying. Other than that get another square thing and iPad and it would be a little smoother. Just my two cents

Agreed. They also closed off a part of their space at 1 for a private party which is a pretty dumb thing to do on a release day.

Got to Finback after an Other Half stout run at around 2, got my bottles of BA BQE by around 3:15. Line was about 20 people out the door (plus the ridiculousness inside.)

The fact that they were only using one POS was absolutely mindblowing. I love Basil and the Finback crew, but with this being one of their biggest annual releases, it should be all hands on deck to make that line be almost nonexistent.

As for the beers, this year's BQE is drinking beautiful. Great barrel character with just the right amount of heat. Tons of vanilla and cocoa. Nose got even better as it warmed. Oscillation 007 was a straight up mango and pineapple bomb. Not my favorite of the series, but definitely up there.

Oh, and that's the only BQE that's getting released folks. Staff confirmed that there are no other variants of BQE being released. However, there are two more barrel aged stouts that they are excited to be releasing in January and February.

By the time I got there they had revised allotment to one BQE per person. The time stamp for my square receipt says 3:55pm

Oscillation, Miasma, and a single BQE. Exactly what I wanted.
