hi everyone flying into Denver for a couple of days for work. Looking for some tips on where to hit. Love IPAs, stouts porters. Ne style for sure. Recommendations are appreciated. Also is there any local can/bottle I should seek out to bring home.

There's honestly too much to reasonably suggest a list. It is really difficult to have a bad beer experience around downtown Denver if you're even remotely a craft beer nerd.

If I were you, I'd pull up a chair at Falling Rock or Freshcraft and work your way through what looks nice; peek into Mr. B's and chat them up about stout and winter seasonals to take home.

My favorites in downtown Denver are Great Divide Barrel Bar and Epic. Crooked Stave if you like Sour Beers. For IPAs, check out Station 26, Comrade.

Bring home stuff from Melvin (IPA, Hubert, 2x4), and... well, there are too many to list really.

    hops- comrade, south denver
    sours- crooked stave
barrel aged stouts/ regular stuff- epic, great divide, river north

if you're in downtown by the rockies stadium, Falling Rock tap house is a must.

Great pizza and beer? Hops & Pie in Denver suburbs. Great, great tap selection and pizza.

A lot of people are not but I'm a fan of Denver Beer Company as well. Black Project if you like wild ales.

I'd say skip DBC, and head to Broadway where you can hit Baere, TRVE and Banded Oak Brewing in one trip (they're all a few blocks from each other).

@clerkpalmer Hey, don't know if you're still in Denver but if so, do yourself a favor and go to The Crafty Fox. Best tap list anywhere around here bar none. Yes, better than FRTH and Freshcraft. Hops and Pie is a very close second for me but Crafty Fox is where it's at. Awesome food too.

How far from Union Station? Walkable? Or Lyft/Uber it?

It's walkable but it would be a long walk and since you're short on time I would recommend taking a quick/cheap Lyft or Uber.

I would def do the Uber thing but I have time to kill before they open at 11. I'll be arriving at Union St around 10-1030am. So that'll give us time to walk and see a little bit of Denver before starting our pub crawl for the day. And I'd figure we'd start off at Crafty Fox and work our way back over to Union St before our flight out of DEN. We'll take Uber back over to the Union St after were done with Crafty Fox.
