Well that was officially the most fun 8 hours of waiting in line I've ever experienced.

I've probably had vacations less entertaining...Can't wait for next year.

 

Probably. Lots of people only getting a 4-pack or so.

 

Super happy the Plead isn't waxed this year. That was such a pain in the ass

Was able to get a 4 pack of Bourbrum at 671. They were slightly less organized this year as my beer wasn't ready to be picked up until close to 4. Compared to last year (when they started at 11 vs 10) and they were calling "any number under 800" at the same time.

 

In years past, wasn't the tax and bottle deposit included in the cost per case or 4-pack?

That was my biggest gripe. An OTD price is ideal. For the Friday guys, After an afternoon of drinking asking them to add up deposit and then tax. That's a lot. I was good but know a friend who wrote his name under "subtotal"

 

Brilliant, but they still charged him anyways. They had cost + tax + deposit at the top of the column under each amount, but then they hit you with a sub total, tax, and deposit at the bottom of the form. Almost like it was a double-dip of added costs.

 

Not sure how this will affect your trade value. Anyone else finding bottles with no label?!? Found a 6 Pairs and BBPt5 without any label...

 

Anyone have the pic handy from last year to compare? Did they do this before?

 

Out of the four 4 packs I grabbed, three bottles had no label.

 

Deposit??? Can you return the empties to Dark Horse? I can't imagine any retail shops will accept these bottles.

Any idea if BBPt5 will be available at Dark Horse on Monday?

 

Put in an order for a case of bbpt5, pack of 3 legs, pack of 6 legs. Got home with a pack of bourbrum and no legs. Thanks DH for f'iing up my order. Was avoiding bourbrum this year. My buddy watched the guy running the dolly spill and bust his 6 legs.

 

They should post on social media this morning and I'm sure that plenty of Rum Barrel 4Elf and BBPt5 will be available.

 

It's funny how we all talk about how much we hate the unwieldiness of dark horse's wax. And then kind of miss it when it's gone....

I did have a handful of bottles missing the label. But they still tasted good. The fresh BBPT5 is excellent. The 6 pair was very sweet, but I think I preferred it over Michigan Maple Jesus.
