I'm honestly programmed to assume that. I stared at the question for a second and thought "should I chime in again that they're not distributing this version of BAMCC?"

Then I realized that no, Sean, the world doesn't only revolve around barrel-aged beers.

Regular MCC is still a really good beer, or at least it was last year.

People realize they can drink and enjoy non-BA stouts right?

This fucking guy right here, drinking non-BA stouts and shit!

In all seriousness, yeah, I agree, but the barrel-aged version "fixes" the issues I had with the regular version (mostly spice-related). If I liked spice in my beer I might prefer the non-BA version.

Anyone interested in and of this year's 50/50 Eclipse offerings?

No, not at $30 a bottle. They really need to partner with some local bars to offer a horizontal tasting where you can get 3-4oz pours of each variety so you can do side by sides of the barrels.

About once a year I bite the bullet & buy one of these and they are ALWAYS delicious. Like, as good as BCBS.

It's a lot but worth it every time I do it.

I might grab the vanilla version if possible...

If the bottles were in the $20-25 range id be interested. There are just too many good things to buy at a better value.

While I personally don't like the ones I've had quite that much, I would agree that they're a lot better than I expected (given that they're shelf turds). They're a little overpriced from my perspective, but they're easily the best BA stout I'll typically find on shelves year-round.

Anyone heard about when Central Waters BB Stout is supposed to hit Chicago? Unless of course I already missed it.

No clue on BBS, based upon what I've seen for BBQ and the scotch variant, you should have no trouble finding some when it does hit.

Got a hipster from Oddside and vanilla abduction yesterday at Capone's. They had a ton of each.

Yeah, I generally have no problem getting the CW barrel aged stuff, but the BB Stout seems to go a bit quicker (not surprising), so I like to be on top of that one a bit more.

I totally agree with this. The hype for stout vs Scotch Ale or quad is significantly different. Any heads up when it's landing would be appreciated.

Which, IMO, is dumb since they are better than BBS and BBBW for my money
