I don't have the count, but by the looks of it, I'd say we still have over 1,000 bottles heading into next weekend. - Jeff

So, uh, how soon is that newly bottled variant going to be available?

They posted in the comments of that FB post "I'd guess 4-6 months".

Glad the bottles made it to this weekend, hoping my schedule aloes me to head up there.

Much appreciated. I'm a non-FB user, so wouldn't have known otherwise. Cheers!

    @jesterkingbeer

Storage/cellaring question for Spon bottles. Upright, or on their side?

I'm surprised, I figured BDBDB and the other grapes would be out before this. Very exciting though. I assume they will still have regular Spon, as well. I was out there last weekend and they told me they have plenty left.

Give how much debate there was over the Spon release, this should be interesting. Fruit release will no doubt be big but I guess the real questions are:

1.) How many more people come out for fruited?

2.) How many people don't come due to cost/time/expectations from last Spon release. Less time to get work off, release fatigue, colder weather...

3.) What's the limit for what JK can realistically move in a weekend? 9,000 bottles overall with a max allotment of 6 per person is a pretty huge release. I think this will sell out much faster than Spon, but should still stick around to Sunday at the very least. I don't think JK can move 9,000 beers even with that limit, but I could def be wrong.

I'll still be there at opening Friday, grinding it out in line, even though I'll probably regret it when it's still available Friday night!!!

Nooo. I get there on Tuesday! Has JK revealed their holiday schedule yet?

I'm going to sit this release out.

As much as I like JK, 225$ for a 6 pack ($140 in bottles + fuel, lunch, and pours) is hard to justify for an out of towner (Dallas) like me. Not knocking the price per bottle at all, if I was local in Austin I would be there in a heartbeat.

Probably going to American Solera in Tulsa this weekend to pick up my society releases instead.

That being said, ISO 1 of each Spon variant.

Any tips for a first time JK visitor from DFW? What's the typical line like on Friday afternoons for releases? I probably won't be able to get down there until right around 4.

Because there are fruits being released people will be lined up by noon. So if you get there at 4 I would say a 2 hour line wait to get bottles.

    I'm not sure about Friday.

I normally leave Dallas early Saturday morning to get to the brewery by 930 -10 am, hang out for a bit and get in the front of the line as it starts forming. Grab my bottles, a pour or two, and some lunch and then hit the road. Back in DFW usually by 4-430 pm.

It makes for a long day, but I enjoy the drive.

What is the parking like there? Do they have a cash and credit line and are either of them usually faster than the other?

You'll make it plenty in time for bottles but there will be a pretty long line by then. Doesn't really make sense to get there 4 hours early to beat a 2 hour line though like a lot of people do.

Does anyone know why they quit doing the staggered releases? As an out of towner I preferred these over the sell til they're gone method.

There is usually a cash and credit line but it doesn't split off until pretty close to the front. But once you get there, the cash line is a bit quicker. And they have a parking attendant that will direct you where to park. Nothing to worry about there.

....those words have been spoken by very few RE I-35 between Dallas and Atx
...your day and time of your drive is the only making that believable.

Ha! Couldn't agree more. I-35 is never enjoyable.

Hoping @Pldevo takes 67 to 281 if speaking about an enjoyable drive.
