    Hey all -

I'll be down in Naples for the first weekend of march - its cold here in minny, so the wife and I are escaping.

    Two questions:

    1. What beer can I expect on tap at Hammond/CenturyLink Sports complex? We are hitting the Twins v Boston game on Thursday night.

    2. Are there any good bottle shops or places to pick up some stuff to mule home? Ill be looking for Cigar City and any other great florida beers that distro to the area.

    Cheers!

I'm not totally sure what you'll find at the stadium but I think they have a few local options. Both are pretty close to Fort Myers Brewery and I know they have taps at the ballpark. More than likely you'll find the standards plus some CCB or Sweetwater.

I might be down there for some pre-Hunahpu r&r around the same time. I like the total wine in Naples, as well as the less traveled ABC liquor stores. I've found some great stuff at both. Also the Whole Foods in Mercato is nice but it is imperative you ask what they have in the back as they treat everything like a rare beer and dont display a lot of things they stock.

(they did have BCBS on tap at Whole Foods at the exact same time last year )

Hammond stadium will have a great selection for you. Danny the beer manager for the stadium does a great job and they really make an extra effort to carry good local craft beer.

You will be a few miles from Fort Myers Brewing (it's right past Jet Blue) which is worth checking out. Don't miss Old Soul Brewing and Point Ybel while you're there, both quality stops and Point Ybel has a crowler machine if you want to take some to the beach.

The world of beer in Bell Tower will have some quality stuff from time to time but definitely check out Stillwater grill. They really take care of their tap list and keep beers fresh and rotating on a weekly basis.

You'll be pretty much limited to the total wine for bottle shops. It's a pretty good selection but make sure to check dates before buying. They get massive cigar city shipments and it tends to sit a while.

Why hasn't anyone mentioned No. 3 Craft Beer for bottles and growlers yet? I think @Yourahoser is trying to keep it his own secret spot.

No. 3 is great but OP mentioned Naples and must folks visiting there don't usually go slumming in the Cape. That being said, I've been super impressed by their bottle selection lately. It's nice having a shop o&o'ed by beer geeks.

I believe they serve Summit at Twins spring training....but you probably get plenty of that at home. :-)

Jai Alai is sooooo good. But I visited Summit when I was in St Paul last summer and I thought they had some very solid beer. And more importantly, they seem to be a class act in terms of a well run brewery. My Summit branded Belgian beer glass is the favorite in my cabinet.

I was down on Sanibel a few weeks ago and hit up Point Ybel brewing in Ft. Myers...Snook Bite IPA was outstanding. And they have a crowler machine. Highly recommended.

I know this is an old thread but I wanted to say that I went to Bury Me Brewing recently and it was awesome! Also, the House of Brewz by Fort Myers Beach had White Oak Jai Lai on tap. They have a solid selection. The sushi was not very good though...

You're the second person in the last week to tell me that Bury Me is doing some good stuff. I'll have to get down and check it out!

I've been to Fort Myers Brewing, Point Ybel, Momentum and Bury Me. I think I liked Bury Me the best. Naples Beach Brewing and Riptide are next!

Taking the g/f to Naples for New Years. Anyone have any recommendations for some nice beach front bars that serve up good cocktails? Thanks!

    Naples Beach Club.
    The Turtle Club
Bayside grill if you go outside upstairs, it's not on a beach but it overlooks the bay.

Honestly not many bars right on the beach in Naples. Naples Beach Hotel probably your best bet for a bar/beach/cocktails all in one.
