Circle A had a case of oro today for those in the area. This and Bourbon oro are currently my favorite stouts.

 

Haven't really seen any Noir or Bomb variants on the west side. Did stumble on Black Note though so that was a pleasant surprise.

 

Where'd you come across Black Note on west side?

Ohio is on fire right now. My budget cannot keep up. Bomb variants, Noir variants, Baptist variants, Bo & Luke, Black Note, NoRules, Avery high gravity, Founders stuffs, Jackie O's, Stone BA stuffs, DFH high gravity, Yellow Bellies, Coconut Rum Dragons Milk, Bruery stuffs, Columbus bottles on the regular, BA Fidy, Schramm's .... ridiculousness.

 

Ain't that the truth. My credit card bill is coming at me hard this month. I look at it this way--I'm just telling everyone I know that I forgot to go Christmas shopping this year (again).

Sneaky! I missed out on that one. I actually cracked the Coffee, and liked it a hair better than High-Westified which I opened right before it. I should have stayed home today and kept drinking because the driving this morning was from a new level of hell.

I feel very spoiled to be relatively frequently drinking very well done barrel-aged coffee stouts these days, whereas a couple years ago it was a project just to track a single bottle down if I was lucky.

 

Anyone seen the Prairie stuff in Columbus? I saw a pirate noir, but not much else.

I got a Prairie Noir at Kenny Rd Market yesterday. They also had a shit ton of Oro and No Rules.

 

Picked up Vanilla at Joseph's in Toledo, also picked up ba ink, any thoughts on what I should expect from this beer?

 

Havent tried the new batch, but BA Ink was phenomenal fresh last year - intense rich bourbon flavor.

 

Anyone know where I could find Pirate Noir in Columbus tomorrow?

sure thing, that place has surprised me since opening earlier in the year. Great bottle shop. About 10 cases of Zombie Dust just sitting there, a few of Permanent Funeral. ZD is overrated, but still crazy how much they get each month.

 

Damn I'll make sure to stop there after Hoof tomorrow
