That's what I suspected. I was surprised that it tasted so smooth at 18%. I'm still going to drink my 2012 bottle tomorrow, but maybe I'll buy one or two extra for aging.

I hate WWS fresh. Well hate is a strong word. But fresh compared to aged there is just no competition. Fresh tasted like a one dimensional extra boozy palo santo marron, but with a few years on it the alcohol fades out and the beer becomes super complex and layered.

Can anyone say that they actually enjoy WWS fresh? I doubt it.

Ugh WWS and Squall were my two favorite DFH beers.....

I think it's still on some shelves in a few places around here. At $9 for a 12-oz bottle, it doesn't exactly fly out of the stores.

Or you can spend the extra $2 and get an Uncle Jacobs stout and actually have a high ABV stout that doesn't taste like leftovers from a meth lab.

In beer speak, "winter 2014" would translate into, August 2014.

Squall was so much better than 75 minute. They should bring that back ASAP!
