Buffalo Grove Binnys has stacks of regular and Barleywine. Limit one per the VERY surly lady cashier. If they keep it as limit one I expect it will last for many days as it looked like a ton to me.

Anywhere in Naperville or close by that has a good amount of regular and/or Barleywine in stock with this second drop? My buddy from MI is gonna be in that area for a conference tomorrow and I'm trying to help him find a couple bottles if possible.

 

Bolingbrook Binny's noted in a post today, is a 15 minute drive from Naperville (depending on time, and specifically where in Naperville)

Thanks gentlemen...I'm not good with knowing which cities are close by out there. I supposed I could've pulled up Google Maps and figured it out, but I appreciate your input.

 

Just left Schaumburg and they still had cases on the floor of reg and bw. The cashier said they got coffee and prop but it went fast.

 

I visited Binny's Orland Park, Binny's Mokena and Kenwood Liquors this evening.

I bought a case of regular and barleywine from Kenwood Liquors since they're was no limit and the guy asked me if I wanted a bottle of Rare so I bought that too. I have no idea how much Rare they have. He got it from the bank storage room. The regular was $8.99 per bottle, barleywine was $10.99 per bottle and Rare was $59.

 

How long ago was that?

 

Damn Rare for 59!!!

 

Kenwood Liquors was my last stop and I left there around 5pm.

 

Went by Lincolnwood and Skokie Binny's.... Stack and stacks of regular at Lincolnwood (13.8% abv) and a few cases of BW. A couple of cases were out in Skokie (14.5%abv), and 4 or so of Barleywine. 2pp limit at each place. Being that regular is my favorite this year, I was quite happy to acquire more.

 

Plainfield was 14.5% which was interesting since everything I got in the area on BF was 13.8.

Opened a BW tonight - damn if I don't like this second use barrel BW. More barleywine-y and less stout-y than normal. The difference was striking when I had '14 and '16 BW on tap side by side. Really like the '16

 

I was at Plainfield today (my regular store - bunch of good people work there) but didn't think I needed any more regular but now see I have all 13.8%, so may have to pick 1-2 up for "science". I also love this years BW - really good. Thanks!

 

Got a Prop there last night around 8pm, he said Coffee was sold out.

 

Hmm, when I was there around 5pm he told me that Prop and Coffee were both sold out. He did sell me a Rare though, so I'm not going to complain.

 

Binny's Lincolnwood had Coffee and Prop at opening this morning too. I rolled in around 9:20am and Coffee was gone, may be some Prop left...worker pulled them from the back so no telling how much they got.

 

Odd, yeah no mention of Rare for me. Perhaps he was selectively offering variants to people to manage supply.

I usually shop at the Oak Lawn Kenwood, and they do hold most of the good stuff for regulars.

 

Heading through later this afternoon and stopping at The Beer Cellar in Glen Allyn to pick up my Neckbeard Nectar. Can anyone share any local shops that might have availability? Thanks for the help!
