Yes, this is what I meant. I've yet to have a Chicago NE-style IPA that was better than Navaja or even Vallejo.

I think I like the first batch of Galaxy Bowl close to that much, but I think that's exactly why people are so thirsty (no pun intended) for the dudes/dudettes of PW and HA to try their hand at "the hazy" stuff; they already crush the clear shit.

And now I want a Navaja. Thanks.

Was there an actual big hugs glass this year or just the coffee mug? Any info would be appreciated.

Do believe the whole enchilada thing had a glass and the mug.

Yeah, pretty sure I remember reading that. It's a beer glass and a coffee mug.

I'd include the picture from my camera roll if I knew how (I guess we have to upload any images to something like imgur?), but anyway, the glass itself didn't have any specific big hugs branding - just a blue and pink half acre logo. The coffee mug had that same logo on one side and a cat with lightning bolts on the other side.

We just got a keg of Deep Space down in Springfield. It's solid. Has it shown up around Chicago recently?

Other than HA taproom, I've only seen it at one other place.

Yeah I was real surprised. My wife and I had the first two pints out of the keg.

I hope there's no line tomorrow for this Cliffs of Tephra release. A friend of mine and I took a day off (we got to burn some days before the end of the year), and I hope to stroll in around noon to have a glass or two before deciding whether to buy any.

So it's just Space that stays 100% in house?

You should be fine. Even BHA was low key. Cans or bottles.

Yes that's what I thought. I also thought that would apply to deep space but here we are

Had BA and Vanilla big hugs tonight at Will's. Vanilla was less than impressive, but the BA was really nice. Great bourbon on the nose, a nice berry tartness and roastiness from the coffee and finished quite sweet.

Yeah, a buddy of mine who lives a block away from HA is going to pop in after work to get me a 4 pack. I hope its not wild over there. This is the first beer release that I have been excited for in a while.

They opened a few minutes early and There was a small, initial rush when they opened(maybe 15 people). Pretty dead now.

This is NOT a New England IPA. It doesn't have the look, mouthfeel nor does it really taste like a New England IPA. However it is damn good. A very juicy, hop forward IPA. Right in the half acre wheel house.
