It made more sense to me that they got the delivery yesterday but were saving for today. No shame took a conference call in the parking lot at 8:30 and people started lining up. When they opened, there were 11 in line and 1 case of prop and coffee. Seems off that lakeview would get more of those than LP, but they got like 70 cases of regular and almost that much bw it looked like.

Prop Day thread is closed but I wanted to pass along some info that could be important. Just this morning, my debit card was finally charged for Prop Day ($100 for the bottles) and for a different trip to the GI taproom 2 weeks ago. I guess they hadn't been processing cards? So check your bank balance if you've spent money there since Prop Day

Honestly I used to work retail, and thank God I didn't get into chasing beer until afterwards, because
That's awesome. I just leave work when beer hits, I don't work while I'm getting it. Kudos!

Bar inside Jewel on Kinzie and Des Plaines tapped reg, BW and prop last night. I left around 645pm, not crowded at all, would expect its still on tap today. Also had bottles of reg and BW.

Just to add to the fun, this is how I would rank the variants throughout the years...

    King Henry > Prop 14 > Rare 10> Regular (averaging across years) > Vanilla > Cherry > Coffee (averaging across years) > Vanilla Rye > Backyard Rye > Prop 13 > Rare 15 > Templeton > Barleywine (averaging across years) > Regal Rye > Prop 15 > Prop 16

Only one I haven't had is Bramble :slight_frown:

Oh Bramble is number 1 for sure. What a bummer. You should try it.

Baudonia > all the rest! Never bottled though

Tons of barleywine at LP Bunny's for anyone that missed out like myself.

That's weird. Binnys grand got at least 3 or 4 cases of prop and 2 coffee.

Definitely weird LP would get less, so it's for sure possible they'll sell more later today.

They got more. Probably tired of getting called on Social Media with the hoards of mules it brings and decided to release it randomly. That way more bottles go to people that actually spend money there.

My wife picked up two regular and two BW this morning at the Bolingbrook Binnys. Have no idea if they are first of 2nd wave bottles but I'm glad to have them. I now owe my wife and I have a feeling it will involve going shopping someplace a lot less fun than Binnys...

Baudonia is definitely right up there. That's one I'd love to see on at the taproom regularly.

Anybody that goes to LP, it's all the way in the back corner by the beer cooler. I cornered an employee and he said the only thing in back is more regular and BW. He said there were a lot of people waiting when they opened the doors. Guess that supports the thought that they got it yesterday.

Everything 2016 at Clybourn, onsite bottle consumption only. This also includes Rare. $15, $20, $20, $40, & $80.

Wait...Prop is $40 and Rare is $80? So a 50% upcharge on Reg, 25% on Rare, 100% on Prop?

    Yikes.

Prop at Binny's was $23.99. So that would be a 67% upcharge, but still.
