Neckbeard is exclusive to the beer cellar. Could be sold at transient too, but not sure about that one

Gotcha, weird. So unless I pre-purchased an allotment I won't be able to buy anything?

They should have cases left on the floor for anyone to walk in and buy some

I believe it is a Beer Cellar exclusive.

Revoution Brewery dropped their Deth stuff. I was a little late to the party so I only have Deth's Tar

Don't worry about it. If you want Cafe Deth you will be able to find it into next week at least.

Not sold at Transient, I believe it is brewed in Illinois and he can't legally sell it in Michigan, and vice versa (his MI beers can't be sold here). So his IL beers are brewed at places like Hailstorm.

Emporium had some sort of Surly event earlier in the week it looks like, currently drinking barrel aged darkness.

I'm not a huge fan of normal darkness but this is phenom

    Not...a huge fan...of norm--What?

    Does not compute!

Also, what year is the BA?

Not a Chicago stout but a stout in Chicago: Great Divide's BA Yeti has been getting dropped at bottle shops. I had the 12% version on draft at their taproom last year and it was amazing. The 2016 bottle is 10.4% FYI. Also $24.99 at Open Bottle

Dosvidanya Rye and Bourbon were just being put on the shelves 30 minutes ago at Andersonville Liquors for anyone on the North Side that wants to try this year's FOBAB winner. The usual Andersonville price bump applies so they are $20.

It's a good beer for sure, but that $25 price is killing me, like all the Eclipse stouts at $28-$30 as well. Is it worth it?

Those f#&kin' swedes! (disclaimer: I'm part Swedish and Andersonville is anything but these days ).

Yeah, more BA beers are starting to cross the > $1 per ounce threshold and I think as crazy as craft beer consumers have been with throwing their money at releases, not many beers can get away with crossing this threshold, at least at this point in time. I suspect this is one of them.

That's funny - we used to talk about crazy prices at 50cents/oz, and now the threshold is $1/oz? There are still so many great beers (though non-barrel aged) for much less that I picked up this week: Drago (barrel aged) 4pk $19.99, Big Hugs $11.99, Chocolate Malevolence Caliente $10.99, Delusion 12oz $4.99. And even the gift packs from 4 Hands and Samuel Smith are good deals, and they come with a glass too!

The Saugatuck Stout Pack is a great deal at $14.99 and it includes the new version of Neopolitan with real strawberry juice, along with Beam Me Up Stouty, Darker Than Your Soul Stout, and Blueberry Maple Stout.

What I had on draft last year definitely was worth the price. Not sure if this lower abv will be as good.
