Showed up at 11. Short line but it moved fast. First impressions, Real Talk is a winner.

Never had a problem with any of their cans.

Also bit the bullet and decided to drive out there after the roads cleared up. Drinking a Real Talk now. VERY nice.

That sucks man, sorry. I've never had an issue but I cross my fingers every time my suitcase full of beer hits a bump on the hike home.

Broccoli & Forever Simcoe sold out. That went quickly considering the weather.

Forever Simcoe is drinking pretty much perfect right out of the gates.

Say what you will about the lines and the way Other Half manages their releases, but they make some incredible beer.

Can or draft? I didn't bother with cans given my current fridge situation and the Whole Food 20% off, but it was quite the bitter green beast on tap.

Found Real Talk to be about the same.

Short, Dark and Wired was cool but I didn't perceive any of the additions to the degree that it stood out from other stouts.

Nice thing about hitting OH though is all the spots in the vicinity.

Viking Blod and Mokasida are on tap at BGH. @rozzom I thought I would find you here.

Stuck in manhattan at the in laws all day (and tomorrow)! But I will be there this week. Annoying as given weather / broccoli in cans, I would have stopped by today

Can. Definitely not overly bitter. The "bitter/green" quality is barely there, but it's enough to keep the beer balanced. Maybe it's just my personal preference, but I like a subtle bite to my IPAs.

Broccoli out of the can is great, OH does amazing things with mosaic hops

Still cans of Real Talk and SDW available if I stop by before close tonight?

100 cases of SDW and 80 of Real Talk were left about 3 hrs ago, so you should probably be fine. Doubt many people are walking up and buying cases at this point. Good luck!

Didn't grab Forever Simcoe or SDW, but I'm so damn excited to try Real Talk and Broccoli.

You're in luck. I've had all of the IPAs so far and Real Talk is the winner for me. Coupled with the fact that it's nice to see a single IPA coming out of Other Half, this is one of my favorite collabs of the year.

Broccoli is definitely more "East Coast" this time around. I loved the balance between East/West in previous batches, but I'm not getting that this time around. Still a great beer though.

Overall, I yearn for more releases like this. While I'm sure weather played a factor, I love the "soft" releases. Other Half makes great beers on their own, and most of the time I'd take one of their regular beers over a super-hyped collab.

Haven't tried the others, but after reading this thread, I opened Real Talk, super green to me, definitely needs a week minimum, but the potential is there

Is true. Heard him mention the weekly thing to someone in line this morning.

Interesting. That should change the dynamics a litte.

Well, hopefully this will bring less crowded releases due to oversaturated market (read my fridge) and a "trillum-style" thing.
    Am I too optimistic?

As the Canning and Bottling Manager I can say that weekly releases will start happening soon. Going to get busy in the brewery!
