Also, if I'm looking to buy beer in the area, I'll just go the extra few min am go to Beer Temple.

 

Has anyone heard about how Jewel would handle this additional Rare allocation? I am not trying to stand outside in the cold for 1 bottle of beer, but if I know when its available in the AM maybe I can swing by the local Jewel and see if its still available.

interesting. from my experience, the answer i get most when asking employees anything is "i don't know."

It looks like a shit ton of locations are getting it. Honestly, with a $80 price tag, I think you'll be able to call one of the locations in the morning and get it.

 

Going to a Jewel when I don't have to is a bridge too far for me...I'll be calling.

 

In all fairness, while I agree that in person may be the way to go, I can see tracking down 14 Jewel employees before you find the one that's aware they carry a beer that ridiculously expensive, so I understand why people would try giving them a call as well.

But if Binny's employees can't always get their stories straight, what hope do you have for the produce guy at Jewel?

 

This reminds me of the difficulty I had getting info over the phone from a Walgreens employee preceding that store's release of Regular and BW a week or so ago. After awhile it got to a point where he was repeatedly asking me what variants they'd receive and what the price would be. That guy was either trolling me and a phenomenal actor, or had recently suffered a brain injury.

 

I guess I should have prefaced my question earlier. I called the Jewel most local to me that is slated to receive an allotment. The guy in the liquor department had no idea what I was talking about. Coming here to see if anyone had similar experiences seemed like the next most logical place to seek answers, Guess not.

Well, if you can make it out to my house before the recycling truck, you may be in luck. I just tossed one after using it for my recyclables for the past year. Just make sure you don't make a mess and put the rest of the recyclables back. God speed.

 

Anyone know what kind of Intelligentsia coffee bean this year's bcbcs is aged with?

Jewel by me (Crystal Lake) was giving out tickets. Will be selling Rare at 7 am. $79.99...Didn't see how much they had cause I had to jet to work but just and FYI if anyone was looking...About 8 people in line at 5:45 if anyone cares haha
