My local store got 10 cases of ZD Friday too. Wonder if it is becoming a bit more readily available. It's hard to not buy It when it's available.

Easy not to buy it when Mystic mama and Head Hunter are sitting withing arms length. I do think Zombie Dust is a solid brew but anymore if I do see it or am offered it by the beer guy keeping it in the back I leave it for the next guy. I'll take Bodhi or white rajah over it any day.

Love those Ohio brews too. I think almost all of 3F's is overrated. I do thouroghly enjoy ZD... I love how it doesn't have that super dry'ness that most IPA's have. I noticed it when my bro whom dislikes IPA's due to their dry'ness. I had made him dry ZD and he really enjoyed it quite a bit. Claimed it was due to it not being so dry. After this, I noticed it makes it for easier drinking for me as well. Maybe there really is something to it being a 'Pale Ale'. Anyway, I'll support Ohio brews over it all day! But still enjoy my random ZD's when they are available.

I've been finding Alpha King more frequently than I would have expected - I think I've bought 6 packs 3 or 4 times in the last 2 months. I'm not sure why that is, but I'm on board and I hope it continues. Alpha King is probably my favorite everyday beer, and I'm not sure there's any Ohio beer that's comparable. I hope someone will offer suggestions! (I don't care for Zombie Dust and think that White Rajah and anything Hop Stalker or Head Hunter dominate it completely.)

Not Very practical, but Hoppin' Frog 'Gangsta Frog' kinda seemed like a hybrid of ZD and AK. I know thats not much help, but that's the only thing that loosely reminds me of 3F's stuff. That and whatever I had at Hoofie. I can't retain one zainy name from the other.

Fat Head's tapped Hop Marauder at their N. Olmsted location today and my lovely wife got me a growler fill!! It's awesome per the usual! Big piney, green, resin kind of notes along with tropical and citrus. Maybe toooooo easy to drink. I'm always in for a new DIPA from Fat Head's!

Also interesting to note that Equinox hops are now called Ekuanot hops.

A little off topic but not sure where else to post this. I will be in Columbus Friday visiting my cousin who lives in the Dublin area. Normally I just stop at the Whole foods there on Saw Mill, but last year when I was there it seemed their selection was not as good. I may have just stopped in during an off time of year, but wanted to see if there were any better spots to check out nearby? Mostly looking for bottles, but if there is something decent on tap I usually carry both a 32oz and 64oz growler with me so long as the place will fill any growler.

You can almost see The Andersons from the Whole Foods parking lot. They'll take care of you.

Side note, surprised that "The Andersons" (no apostrophe) is grammatically correct.

Just a FYI on the Whole Foods side if things, but they keep some stuff behind the counter by the drafts if your not familiar. It can be hit or miss but with them and Andersons so close it's an easy double stop.

Good to know, and I knew of Andersons, but have never been, so I guess its time I check them out. Anywhere else that I should check out in the area?

Made a run over to Lawrenceburg today and stopped at Whitey's Liquor (the main one). Man was I surprised! They just got their Black Note today, along with No Rules, and the super rare FFF Crack the Skye. (Those 3 were sitting on the counter so they could limit them to 1 per.) Had stacks of Alpha King and Gumballhead, with a couple cases of Zombie Dust. Also seen So Happens It's Tuesday and the new Sun King DIPA, among others. I was pretty blown away which doesn't happen to me much anymore.

I could be wrong (it's happened once or twice ), but I believe it's only being distro'd in Indiana.

Heads up on the So Happens It's Tuesday, I heard this year's was exhibiting off flavors. Not sure the radius or if there were multiple batches.

Closest other store of note is Ale Wine and Spirits in Powell. Otherwise your driving to hit the other big stores around Columbus.

Edit: take that back, Kenny road market is actually closer to WF. Great store too.

The batch which came infected was release in Jan 16' that they're speaking of.

Another batch was released in mid October which hit our distro. No reports of this one being infected.....yet

The Jan 16' one was the second go around of bottling it. 1st round they were in fear of it becoming infected and kept it for on site consumption at the taproom only.

So I would still be weary due to its history.
