The Half-Acre thread (2018)

Trying animal law right now. It's pretty hazy, and the taste coming through is very much what you would get out of a HF IPA. Really enjoyable.

I can't seem to find info on this awesome news. Is it going to be a lineup staple, or is it going to be the same brewing frequency/distro but just in cans? If it's the latter, I'll go line up now.

 

OK, between this and the vintage BCBS variant drop yesterday, I feel like something really bad is about to happen...a la Jerry in Seinfeld being "even Steven".

Even if they just can this one time, I feel as thought we've made progress. They sure seem to be showing signs of moving towards more cans (and they've mentioned as such), which could really push their status into (or confirm their status as) the best brewery in the city.

 

Agreed. From what it sounds like, HA is going all-in on canning one-off beers, so I'd guess they're also going all-in on cans in general.

 

If they can Beer Hates Astronaut I'm buying their entire fridge. I love this movement towards cans for HA. Between this, their sour program, and their recent releases of BA beers I couldn't be happier.

 

Best brewery? While I love HA. Pipeworks and their new taproom would like to have a word with you.

 

BHA is an all-time fave of mine. It being in cans was the greatest, so I'm eagerly awaiting the sequel.

I'm not ready to give either of them a "best of" crown, because we have such great choices here. No losers!

 

i may be mistaken but i thought it was just a bottle shop. would we be able to drink at Pipeworks? or were those taps just for growlers?

Knowing my current luck, I'll underestimate demand for the 300th time in a row and won't even be there in time to duel kdawg to the death!

 

Enjoyed a growler of Animal Law over the holiday. Recommended for those seeking a little more bitterness in their cloudy IPAs.

 

Space and Deep Space were both fantastic.

 

It's because they have a more narrow opening and are oddly shaped, and if they use the tubing, the venting opening is so narrow it shoots beer across the room. They have filled mine if it's really slow but told me they won't if it's busy because you have to fill them super slowly.

 

Anyone try the IIIPA yet?

Everyone is aging their Benthics and not trading them to me. Half Acre took offense.

 

Are people reporting infected bottles? Seems random
