I am also in CT. If you can find Black Dawn by Relic, it is worth getting. Solid, straight-up stout. Also local would be Big Bad Bunny at Steady Habit and MAD by Thimble Island.
You should be able to find Stone Xocoveza, also Wormtown Sweet Tats (if you head up to MA it should be on the shelf at the liquor store). And keep an eye out for Tree House Single Shot.

    My favorites are:

    Ten FIDY
    Founders Breakfast Stout
    Sierra Nevada Narwhal
    Stone RIPS

And they're all really easy to find. I need to try Even More Jesus.

Ten Fidy is easy to find? I thought it was more exclusive and tough to get your hands on.

I'm not familiar with the distribution of it but what's availability like in the CT area?

Stouts are probably my favorite style of beer as well. I would recommend trying any stout that you can get your hands on (for the most part). Old Rasputin (especially on nitro) and BCBS are probably my favorite, but I love many of those mentioned above.
Also, Samuel Smith Oatmeal Stout and 3 Floyds Moloko are really the first two that were memorable and got me into stouts. Since you'll most likely not be able to get Moloko, Left Hand Milk Stout is an easy dessert beer to fall in love with (even for some non-beer drinkers).
    Cheers and happy hunting.

Just had my first Parabola and I'm in love. A big surprise is Astronaut Status from Wiseacre in Memphis. They call it the Bourbon County Killer.
