What about churro?

 

Churro was part of irregular last year as well and was brewery only.

 

Salty people in their facebook thread. Not sure why the "Really? On Jan 1st?". As if Carton owed anyone anything for their releases.

FWIW, when I walked out at 4:45 PM yesterday, there were still plenty left. Regular Coffee and the other 2 are on tap. The Corretto definitely is on the sweeter end. It gets better as it warms up, too. The first sip was unexpected for me and jarring at first, but definitely not bad.

Regular Coffee and Churro are sexy as ever.

They are open today - so if anyone missed it yesterday, head on down.

 

Easy in and out, still same limits as yesterday, looked like they had quite a bit of both left

Shucks, that didn't last long.

 

Just returned home. I'm glad I am off work today because, like many of you, I was taken totally off guard yesterday by the unexpected coffee release. When the doors opened a Noon today there were about 50 folks on line. The staff didn't let anyone use the front door but snaked the line around the side of the building (which was interesting because I was able to get a good view of the new building Carton is erecting next door), through brewery, and to the front where the cans are sold. There was no change in the limit - still a case of Regular and and case of Irregular and people were buying a lot. There seemed to be plenty left, though. I don't know whether it will sell out before next weekend.

 

Nope. Missed it by 5 minutes. Said it should see some distribution again. It's on for growler fills. That what I get for being lazy and hungover yesterday.

 

Wow, I'm shocked. Is both Regular and Irregular sold out? There seemed to be a lot of it piled on pallets in front, even with a case limit of each. I wonder whether decreased the limit after I left. I'm glad I made the drive down, although the trip back was a bit rough with a bad accident on the Northbound Parkway.

 

Irregular is low too. Get here stat if you want cans.

 

Irregular was still going. Not sure if the limit was still a case. I was only going to get a split case anyway of each of regular was still available. Took 4-4pks of Irregular.

Crazy. Even carton can't avoid the lines, even though they try to

 

Wow, won't lie this is a bit of a let down.

 

What part is a let down? The beer itself or you missed out?

 

The timing, the fact that it didn't last 2 days and the fact that of course I wasn't able to get there in time.

It's just not what we've grown accustomed to as far as their releases go. It is what it is, on to the next one as they would say.

 

Was in and out in less than a half hour, glad I went early.

 

They must have lowered the limit. The guy in front of me bought a case of each. He said he did the same yesterday. He said he has lots of trades lined up.

 

Well I'll put things into perspective. Drove down today. Got into a (thankfully minor) accident on 35, no one hurt and my car should live on. Decided to just turn around and head home. Maybe I'll drink one of my Regular Coffees I aged from last year. Whew!!
