Last year, tickets didn't go on sale until early January and the list wasn't stellar when they went on sale. Quite a few amazing breweries confirmed in late January or early February. It will still be a great time - just be patient.

 

Unless I missed it before, I think Funk Factory has already been added

 

I was merely suggesting a reason as to why there are still tickets available. I know I'm going to have a fantastic time, no matter what breweries are pouring me some fine beer. I'm bringing a huge amount of patience and I'm not driving anywhere afterwards. Bring it on.

 

voodoo is confirmed they said via there facebook page they are bringing the big guns to this event, already worth it imo

 

It was the same way this time last year.

And CCB did and probably will bring plenty of beer to make our cups overflow.

Does anyone know if/when Cigar City releases a layout of where all the breweries are going to be located? I have front of line passes and need to map out a plan for those important 30 minutes

 

They will publish a map a week or so prior.

 

When did those go on sale? I had one last year and it was great.

So how do the logistics of getting the bottles work? I have read this whole thread and not seen any mention of this. Do you get the bottles at the festival or before hand? If you get them at the festival do you have to carry them around the whole time while getting inebriated? Is there another huge line to pick up the bottles after dealing with a long line to enter the festival? Thanks in advance, looking forward to my first trip!

 

It was a little bit of everything you thought of.

You can get the bottles any time you'd like after the festival starts in the Marriot (i think?) lobby. From there it's up to you where to stash them because you cannot bring them back into the festival (no glass). If you have a room at the hotel, just run them up stairs otherwise you'll need a friend to take them from you or just leave the festival entirely and be done for the day.

If you choose to stay for the entire thing, there was definitely a line that formed. It took us probably an hour or so from exiting the fest (after it ended) to getting our bottles.

They hand them to you in either a 12bottle case with 8 or 12 bottles or a bag of 4, it all depends on what allotment you picked.

 

Thank you for your help! Any idea of how long the bottle pick up runs and how they communicate that this year it will be at the Marriott as well? We plan on staying at the Marriott and it would be best if we could pick them up at our leisure later in the day after the event.
