    I might encourage use of the "update" function if you have new info.

    To the points made, I hope people aren't just skipping the info if they know it. If so, that's just strange. That said, I'd at least try to find the info or maybe not add the beer. I am more upset by added beers with no rating at all (let alone no review :slight_frown:). If one added a review, they could clarify why they didn't supply ABV :wink:.

    I welcome this, as it allow others to find the beer and often times it's now someone from the brewery adding the beer. And we expect this form of contribution to explode once our claim page feature launches, which will add another level of accuracy to our data.

    But back to Beer Karma. It's back.

    Hope not derail this thread beyond asking these questions: are more people coming here to find out that beers exist or that beers are worth trying? And if it is the brewery, could they be encouraged to supply "brewery notes?"

    Ok, maybe also this:
    The claim page feature, is that essentially along the lines of this?

    My Karma is stuck at zero. Logging out and back in didn't fix it and neither did leaving posts on forums. Am I doomed to be a zero forever?

    No. You're not doomed to be at zero forever. But you did indirectly point something out to me, and @Cfahooligan confirmed my thinking, so I made an adjustment to the algorithm. You're now at 51 and your title should update shortly.

    Still doing tweaks to the formula for this? I was at 3955 on 12/25... No new beers or place reviews, or added photos, etc since.... I noticed yesterday it jumped to 4197, then a few mins later was at 4082.... How bizarre!?!

    I don't care how it is calculated and you can find me at the level of Beer Karma that I'm at.

    I'm just glad I didn't get demoted...:sunglasses: Phew. So, I'm wondering what some of the new titles may be. Grand Generalissimo? Sultan of Zymurgy? Baron of Beer? :wink:

    I like the reinsertion of Karma. I think it will bring back some of our long lost brothers and sisters. That said, I fantasize about a day where the number in parentheses means nothing, but the title to the left of it says "Hunter." Larrrge.

    Seriously though, before officially launching there was a soft-launch and period time where the algorithm was being tweaked. And yesterday there was another teak. This resulted in varying points and subsequent updates based your last activity. Looks like you hit this.
