    Thank you for the insight.

Speaking of pink cans: just cracked open my last BUTS. Kicking myself for drinking them so quickly. This current can is drinking absolutely perfect. Booze is pretty much gone at this point. Syrupy in a way that I enjoy and juicy as all hell. I'd say it's at its peak right now.

Had one last night and totally agree. Creamy, juicy hop assault. Absolutely killer. It went down way too fast (like most of their beers.)

    It's going to be mid-February.

What makes you say that? Pretty sure it was the last week of Jan the past two years.

I asked Andrew this past weekend and that's what he said. I think they want the expansion opened.

Ah, gotcha. That makes sense. Really can't wait for that expansion to be complete.

They had the garage door up 2 weeks ago or so and it looked rough!

Yeah there's no way it's gonna be open in February.

Also, the 3rd Anniversary beer will be pouring at Extreme Beer Fest in Boston on 2/3-2/4. Not sure if they are planning on canning before or after that, but it seems odd they would let it sit a week or two after that.

Just pulled this from the listing:

3rd Anniversary Imperial IPA | Other Half Brewing Co.
Imperial IPA hopped with copious amounts of Citra, Motueka, Galaxy, Simcoe, and Citra Lupulin powder. Brewed in commemoration of three years of Other Half.

    It lit.

Depends on the sugarcane. I drank plenty of the juice while traveling around SE Asia and sometimes it would have a uniquely vanilla-like flavor to it. There's definitely the sweetness, no doubt, but it's less intense than many sugars consumed in the US. Also, I remember being told by a diabetic Australian (don't remember the person at all, just that they were Australian) that it had only complex sugars, which yeast is less favorable towards, so there's a small possibility some of the sugarcane-related sugars may yet still make it through the brewing process.

This is of course all blowing smoke until we taste it, but one can hope!

Was gonna make my first other Half voyage this weekend. Can you ya give a rook an idea of what to expect with the line? Are you able to just go to the bar for growler fills and samples if you don't want cans? Thanks!

Yes - but they don't really do "samples" you can get a 4oz pour (only 2 at a time) and they're usually pretty cheap. I was there last night but I forget the price. 12oz was $7 for most beers.

The tap room also gets very very crowded on can release days during peak release hours. If you dont have interest in cans I would wait until noon or later to head over.

I went tuesday to fill a few growlers and still looking "rough". Quite promising though knowing they're going to have that much space.

On another note, if someone can make a magic tree air freshener with the scent of DDH Mylar Bags, I'd like one please.

I know I've mentioned Broccoli a few times here, but I really hope they can it more often. Too damn good

I love these guys going HAM on the stouts, I had kind of figured they didn't dig the style much or it wasn't interesting for them to brew because we see like 1 stout for every 10 IPA's; hell they do more wild/sour beers than stouts it seems (anecdotally, I haven't actually counted). Super psyched to try these bottles and see what other surprises they've got coming up.
