    Hi everyone,

I am throwing a bachelor party for a good friend of mine with roughly 10 guys. We are looking at staying in downtown Denver and wanted to do a brewery crawl to hit up a bunch of good breweries. I was curious to get your opinions on any breweries you recommend stopping at. I appreciate the help.

    Thanks

You're a shitty friend and you should take your friend to titty bars not breweries.

In my experience, you have a couple good brewery crawl options. The downtown denver area has the bigger named ones in Epic and Great Divide, but just down the road from Epic is a little Gem called Black Shirt Brewing. One of my favorites - A small tap room and most of their beers are based around a red/blood orange flavoring, but many varieties. You can of course head up to Fort Collins for their breweries or into boulder. If you make it to boulder, make sure to get to UpSlope Brewing, another place I wasn't aware of when I last visited and had an amazing taproom with a huge selection. I'm sure there are far more options, but I'll leave the locals to those. Cheers!

I would start off by driving to River North, then come back to downtown and hit Ratio. Now park your car. Hit up Mockery, Great Divide, Crooked Stave, and finally Epic. See if you can make it back to your hotel ...

Alternatively, a Southern Route would include Comrade, Cerebral, and TRVE before parking and doing the downtown circuit. Really, you can't go wrong.

Or an extreme North/west circuit- start off at Odd13 and than hit 4 noses... then go downtown.

Or hit up Station 26 first...

What kinds of beer do you like?

I'd second the River North route.

I'd also second a good majority of any of the breweries in the area

@Dan_K asks a good question about what kinds of beers you like. I'd also ask: what sort of vibe are you looking for, being that it's a bachelor party? More of a bar / taphouse scene, or breweries themselves? I'd assume the latter based on the original question?

Mainly breweries but if there are really good tap houses/bars that works too. Obviously with a wide variety of people coming there is a broad spectrum of opinions. I would think the majority would be more geared more towards the IPA, DIPA, EPA, PAs, Stouts, etc.

Look into some brew buses. Makes it easy, they typically hit some good ones. Plus, no annoyance of having to call an uber every hour after you've tasted the highlights.

Plus... 10 guys... it's your own brew bus at that point.

This, or just rent a private party bus for the night to take you to all the breweries.

They are a few blocks away from each other, but it's fun to drive around a bit and have a driver, also would help get from Great Divide/Mockery/Crooked Stave over to the other side of the tracks to Epic/Ratio/Finn's Manor/Black Shirt/Our Mutual Friend/Bierstadt - eat at Park Burger and/or Rackhouse, skip Blue Moon & 10 Barrel

Like the RiNo suggestions. One edit would be to hit Ratio Beerworks instead of Mockery (based on my opinion of beer quality). If it is more of an IPA crowd, Falling Rock Tap House is a good option for Pliny, Comrade SuperPower, and Station 26 Juicy Banger (typically have all 3 on draft). It's not that far from RiNo (Uber if too cold to walk). First Draft is another place to try a bunch of good, mostly CO beer.

Wow did not know Colorado got Pliny. Only had it once and that was in a beer trade. I will probably need to stop at Falling Rock then.

We see it quite a bit, but honestly- its old news with the likes of Station 26, Comrade, Cannonball Creek, and so many others.

if you like hoppy beers like it seems, you guys are in for a treat!

I see pipeworks/Perennial on some of the tap lists too. Looking forward to trying them out.

Depending on when you're here, you could potentially encounter Pliny the Younger, too. That typically arrives mid to late February.
