Other Half Brewing January 2017!

Not much talk about “Real Talk”…

The plethora of pineapple and orange comingle nicely with the bitter/tangy/dank zest: citrus, lime, passion fruit…love the earthy/bready presence this brew throws at ya (or at least me). It’s not quite sour, or sour at all but it acts as if a sour element is welcomed, if that makes sense?

I know how much everyone loves and can relate to such descriptors as bomb, juice, and fruit. So, to keep this along those lines; I’ll add in complex for this particular brew (i.e. complex fruit bomb)

From the first post on this thread:
Growler Fills: Other Half uses a Counter Pressure fill system. This requires that all 32oz and 64oz growlers have a 1.125” standard threaded opening.

Other Half branded growlers require a $5 deposit. Growlers from other breweries are welcome, but must follow those measurement guidelines. Not all beers are available for growler fills, please check the tap room menu board for details.

 

Anyone know if you have to bring the cap with the growler or do they give you a fresh one with each fill?

 

The 2 times I filled growlers I didn't have caps and wasn't an issue.

 

whoops, knew I should have went back and checked that out. Haven't gotten a fill in my visits, but if they are offering DDH Forever Simcoe for fills tomorrow I might have to on my way out with my cans and bottles!

 

1-3 inches of snow now reported. Now even a better chance of showing up at noon and getting everything. Love it when it snows on release days.

 

Still gonna head in early bc I need to help my friend move in the afternoon. Hoping with the snow they open early again like they did for Broccoli, Real Talk, ddh forever simcoe

 

If it helps, they opened early last weekend and there wasn't snow forecasted.

 

Think I'm going to sit this one out, although I love most all things Galaxy.

If there's DDH Mylar on tap tomorrow, and the room's not crazy, get some. It's so good right now.

 

Who's in line this morning? Thinking of heading over from jersey city if it's not too bad.

No line at all should be good if you go later today. Semi crisis on my behalf, parked 2 blocks away and dummy me on my walk backed slipped and my box with the bottles of the cane life with coffee and coconut slid off as I was putting them down and they all broke . Grabbed more when I went back for a growler. Not the worst way I've thrown away money but preventable if I wasn't being any idiot. Oh well!
