So much cash! A less than reputable character could make a killing holding up beer nerds at an event like this.

 

I heard the KBBS Vanilla Rare is Double Barrel-aged in 98 year-old Pappy Van Winkle barrels

Assassin/KBBS release details! Here are some final things you need to know before Friday!

• We will be closing at 4:00 pm Thursday to prepare for Friday. Make sure you plan accordingly if you want to stop by the taproom before close!
• We will open to the public Friday at 4:30 pm following the release. No one is allowed into the taproom during the day unless they are participating in the release.
• Make sure to attend the release during your allotted time slot. If you fail to attending during your allotted time slot, you will not be able to enter. NO PROXIES OR EXCEPTIONS.
• Prepare for the weather-it is slated to be 12 degrees so dress accordingly!
• ID, Ticket, and Payment: Please be prepared to show an ID and confirmation email. Everyone participating in the event must be 21. Attempts to purchase from anyone under 21 will be void without a refund. All tickets and IDs will be reviewed with the event list. Please remember to attend during your session which is listed on your confirmation email. You will not be allowed to enter into a different session. Also, bring additional forms of ID or information that contains your name in case staff has questions. Payment will be CASH ONLY of $200.00 for your entry, as well as any additional bottle/merchandise purchases you make during the event.
• Smoking: There is no smoking permitted inside the taproom. The patio and sides of the parking lot have designated smoking areas and places to discard your cigarette butts. Please use those areas to keep the taproom and Decorah clean.
• T-Shirt and other Merchandise Sales: Assassin t-shirts will be available for purchase in a new color for this year. We will also have additional glasses for sale as well as our standard fare of merchandise. Please note that all merchandise sales are final so inspect your merchandise carefully prior to purchase.
• Parking: Parking is not allowed in our parking lot for the release as it is closed off for the event. Please utilize side streets to park on by the taproom, or park downtown Decorah, which is a short walk away. Please do not park in the Pyramid Plaza parking lot down the hill from the taproom or any other establishment located near the taproom. They will tow vehicles and we do not want that to happen to anyone. Also, please refrain from parking in and in front of house driveways.

Exactly. It's northeast Iowa. On a given night, I'd bet about 40% of the vehicles at the taproom have a gun in them.

Would really like to know how much the extra bottles are. Need to know if I need to run by the ATM again or sell a kidney.

 

I would expect $10 per bottle. Likely hoppy TG beers. King Sue and Hopsmack went on tap in the last week. Maybe Sosus or DDH Sue too?

 

Sounds good to me. So I guess rum-barrel vanilla assassin isn't going to be for sale?

 

I have not heard of one at Super 8, but there is one at the Quality Inn on Thursday at 8 if that interests you.

 

Is there more information about this share? I'm staying there and might bring some bottles to join in if that's ok.

Probably just the normal stuff not to step in the assassin bars toes, however I sure hope I am wrong

 

is the Quality Inn lobby the location? I am staying there as well and have been messaging a few folks, but had not heard a location. I'll be there at 9
