Seems to me that's the way it works. I think it's easier if one person pays it all and the other person just reimburses the person who paid for his share. That way you don't need to worry about whose credit card gets charged for what.

Only problem I have is I can't buy in separate orders with the way this wish method works.

I'd like to see Terreux do well. I've only been there once, as I live a couple of hours away. When I was there it was also quite slow, but I really enjoyed the layout and would be a regular visitor if I lived closer.

I'm seeing it now. Kind of a hassle, but it can be dealt with. @BruerJoel , is this accurate? One person has to buy the full allotment in order to request wish bottles? So two people sharing would split the different beers being bought, with each person maxing each single allotment?

The Bruery has never really encouraged splitting memberships, so I doubt this is something they even consider.

That said, it does seem like they should make the Wish beers a different item on their website, so that it's not tied to the current allocation. I've certainly changed my mind mid-allocation and purchased more based on trying it or trusted feedback.

Sorry for any confusion! The wish list feature is only available the first time you purchase part or all of an allocated brand. If you only purchase part of an allocation of a particular brand, the wish list feature goes away from that particular brand.

If you miss out on leveraging the feature, a new sale with some of the currently allocated brands will begin on Tuesday, January 17.

The 2016 allocation purchases need to be picked up or shipped by the end of March 2017.

You'll still be able to max out an allocation - just not go beyond with the wish list functionality.

I think in the passport it actually says Feb 2018...but I don't have it in front of me to confirm.

Since a lot of people have some concerns about this Joel, would it be possible to request a change in how this works in the future? As stated by someone else, even if you don't split a membership, people do change their mind based on user feedback after they buy their beer. Those people may end up missing out on beer if it doesn't show up in the 2nd chance sale all because they just couldn't request more.

Yeah, I recall it being pickup by 2/28/2018, and anything left will ship to you in March 2018.

Right, I understand this. But it's not exactly intuitive. I'm assuming it's a limitation of the web store, because otherwise I'm not seeing the logic to this approach.

And I will likely never, ever run into it being an issue as well, and I can't imagine many folks will. So it's not a big issue, but still worth some feedback.

If you have a list of fixes, this ranks well below an updated list of outstanding orders on my wish list.

This. Let me buy and then think on it. Maybe even split with someone or offer up to friends. I hated buying two and wanting three and lost the chance with the build on the site.

More importantly, they've create a system to solve a problem, which is how to get the beer they have excess of into the hands that want it. They've now created a bottle neck that can prevent that from happening, thus not solving their problem. From a business stand point, this, out of all the things we've brought up, makes the most sense to fix first as it actually generates money. All of the other items are purely customer service issues, which will make people happy, but do nothing to actually bring in more money.

Eh, if they solved the outstanding bottles left list, I'd be more likely to request my bottles when they approach or pass 12 in storage, thereby reducing the length that they're storing said bottles (and the cost that that entails).

Depends whether they want to prioritize increasing revenue or decreasing cost. Though I suspect both are merely noise in their overall operating picture.

Figured this would have been pinpointed in the beta testing of the new system. It makes no sense that this hiccup wasn't figured out and resolved. Much less even being communicated to all members that will possibly go back to the allocation trough after they purchased their initial allocations.

Based on Joel's reply, the order seems to go Allocation > Wish List > First come first served (following week). I'd bet that is by design, at least conceptually. So basically if you miss out on adding something to wish list, you aren't at a true disadvantage because if there is any left it'll come up in the second sale the following week. You just have to be on your toes and actually order it.

Hope it is something that gets changed, but as I understand it this is a completely new thing this year and it currently only adds value to your membership by allowing you the chance to request over your normal allocation. I say go forward with that knowledge and if it gets changed, great.

I think that's my gripe, I didn't know going in that the new system is built this way, so now I'm scrambling to find a solution in the short one week window I have to buy.

I'd just like to go back to the old order history and email scheme before hand. It's a cluster for trustees I know..

Anywho atleast going forward we know what's up for ordering.
