You got me beat. And I thought I was going out on a limb by driving down to Monkish to pick up my bottles this weekend.

Thanks...it will be worth standing in the rain. I'll admit I'd do it for 3!

Anyone able to help me get a couple of bottles of Double Dobis? I'll be in town Friday... kicking myself that I can't get there for the release.

If not, any idea if it will be on tap in the area Friday?

Should still be on tap at the brewery and maybe Toronado.

Does anyone know how much 1L fills of DD cost in past releases?

IIRC, it's $17 for 1L, $27 for 64oz/2L. But when they do a bottle release, they never offer that beer as a fill.

FYI, just had my brother drive by. He said the line is now blocks long. Said it looked like a long wait.

At least it is not raining.

They made a lot of beer but if but the max allocation is a little worrying.

The line moved very fast. CM knows what they're doing when it comes to their bottle releases. I got in line just by the MMA spot at 1:40 and had my bottles at 2:05.

Anyone tried Smell the Colors and/or Otto's Jacket? If so, how are they?

I thought Smell the Colors was better this time, didn't try OJ.

Smell the Colors - Unfiltered juice and grainy malt. It's probably the signature(?) Cellarmaker style. I enjoyed it.

Otto's Jacket - Super dank, resinous West Coast IPA. I think this is one of the finest examples of that subgenre.

Got my 9, no wait for bottles, but wait to get in the tap room at 4:15.

FWIW... Smell the colors was much better than last time I had it. More flavor, better mouthfeel, bigger taste.

otto's jacket is nice, but it's a little thin and I pick up like a little bite at the end on the back of my tongue.

i thought Jugo was better than otto's jacket...

And for bottles, i got in line about 2:40, and had my bottles by 3. Inside drinking by about 3:15.

    Cellarmaker knows what they're doing.

What's funny is no one is talking about the Double Dobis. I, like several people I've heard from, am disappointed that this batch, like the 3rd Anniversary batch, is West Coast style. It is not the first bottle batch juice bomb that we were hoping for.

That being said... As a WC style DIPA, it's actually quite good with a lot of fruity citrus aroma and flavor. I am liking this more than Anniversary batch. But at the same time, I wouldn't necessary crave it.

I thought it was great this time around too. It's as Cellarmaker as it gets, right in the middle of hazy and WC.

Damn. I really liked that 3rd Anniversary batch. No wonder. Ha.
