I'd say it's good practice to print every receipt (or save the .pdf) immediately after each order whether or not the system saves it for you. I bring mine along with me whenever I drop in to pick up my orders to make sure nothing is left off.

Is there usually an option to buy an additional RS glass at some point?

This is what I have been thinking about. I want some RS/HS merch so people can laugh at how much I paid for being in a beer club.

And after they're done laughing they'll be like, "So, do you have any PB&T, RdF, Befuddlement, MW, GM, etc, for trade?" Then you can laugh at them for standing in line since 4 am to get IPAs.

I heard standing in line with your kids makes IPA have have more haze and taste better.

Eh? There are plenty of comparably priced clubs out there.

So much this. Price is one thing, but in all honestly the beers speak for themselves. If you are fan, you are a fan and may consider joining a club at your local craft brewery. I proudly support The Bruery as a society member, and enjoy a lot of their releases with friends and folks who may have not tried anything yet.

Don't be upset. Attend member Mondays.

Plus the anniversary party is coming up in May. If I were to recommend one event it would be this one!

Some tasting notes from what I tried last night:

Chron 6: Porter - SUPER roasty porter with a decent amount of barrel. You've really got to dig a roasty porter to enjoy this one. I don't think 6 months is the optimal time for this beer and I think the 12-18 month ones will be much better. It wasn't bad but I gave it a 3.5/5.

Room for More - I got two growler fills of it last night...so yeah, I like it. Very tart (not Frucht levels though) and a lot of stone fruit. It's not the juiciest sour they've done but its a really great sour with a lot of fruit..you really can't go wrong with that. 4.5/5

Beffudlement - Let me start off by saying I'm not a huge fan of this beer. I do not want any bourbon notes in my sours. That being said, compared to batch one this is a lot more SITR than Anniversary. The bourbon notes only hit at the very end of the taste and the fruit is very present. Because of my dislike of bourbon in sours I am only giving this a 3/5, but if you liked the original, I'm sure you will love this.

Rue D'Floyd - Had this a brown paper bag share on Saturday with some other world class beers. We didn't know what we were drinking at the time and everyone was blown away. Nice bourbon notes with a ton of coffee and cherry. Strong vanilla flavor at the end. Overall a great beer so buy em if you can. 4.5/5

Mash & French Toast - I'm not a huge barleywine fan but for some reason I decided I should crack this last week after I picked up my allotment...and I'm happy I did. If you've had mash you know what you are getting in to, but the adjuncts really shine in this beer. Once you smell it you immediately get tons of French Toast. I'm not a huge fan of cinnamon in my beer but I thought this was extremely balanced. Overall a great beer if you are a fan of barleywines. 4/5

I didn't try M5 (hate smoked beers) or Or Xata or The Order.

Hope this helps you guys out with your purchases!

You know, I saw the craziest thing last night. One of those groups on FB was claiming that BT (and variants) are watery and had no mouthfeel...and most people were agreeing with them! That thought has never crossed my mind. I'm curious what everyone else here thinks.

Just noticed the email that just went out now explains the wish list can only be used on the first purchase...

Are any society members going to be at the bruery around opening today? Would love to try some of the new allocations.

Yeah, that's pretty much a big F-U to those who decided not to wait on the whole purchasing week window. Would have liked a bit more explaining on that, or the ability to get more on a potential "wish list"
I guess the real question is how many will make it past a wish list in allocations and to a free for all.

Watery? Not imo. Lacking density compared to BCBS. Probably...

Just got my welcome merch package via GSO. For a small package that's light, I think $25 is a little too much. Ten to fifteen dollars seems more fitting.

For me it starts out sour in the rye and you can definitely taste boysenberry. But halfway through it gets cuts in half suddenly with the anniversary finish.

Weight sadly is the least biggest factor for shipping now. 99% of the price comes from the shape of the box.

and GSO isn't the cheapest since they're more on the local level.

VERY well said! I think "watery" and "lacks density" are easy to consider as synonyms, but this is a great example of how they can illustrate difference.
