That doesn't look like a stout!

Sounds good, kinda wish it wasn't nitro though. I'll probably still try it.

I don't really like packaged nitro products. Maybe this will change my mind, though I doubt it.

    Looks like a fruit beer......not a stout

    Enjoy

First it's White/Golden "Stouts", not it's Red. If it's not BLACK, it's not a Stout. Please stop with all this gimmicky non-sense!

Red velvet cake is just chocolate cake with red coloring so I'm assuming this beer is just a stout with red coloring. Both are kind of weird.

But how would it be so translucent? Aren't stouts almost always opaque?

I am like most. How is this a stout? This almost looks like a fruit style? I have to try to see what it holds but its certainly a weird looking beer, with that said it could be awesome so I will wait to judge after consuming.

    From their website:

    RED VELVET ON NITRO
GOLDEN OATMEAL STOUT WITH BEETS AND CHOCOLATE

    This stout takes the cake.

Our Red Velvet oatmeal stout is a mind-bending beer. Like the cake that inspired it, the deep red color comes from beets, which add a rich, earthy character that complements the chocolate flavor and aroma. The foamy head of the nitro pour is our “icing”, adding a creamy smoothness to the mouthfeel. But this liquid dessert still finishes like a beer – not sweet, but just as satisfying.

It's along the lines of Noble Naughty Sauce, which is amazing. This isn't on that level, but I remember liking it. Admittedly, I was fairly hammered when I had this, so I'm not 100% confident in my evaluation, but I'm definitely going to check it out.

If they ever put Naughty Sauce in nitro cans/bottles I will buy all of it.

Okay, I take it back. Just drank one, it's fucking terrible. Not like I remember at all. No chocolate, no sweetness at all.

I feel like all the newish BP beers I've tried recently (although only the two Commodores come to mind, so maybe it's just this and those) have tasted somehow.... "domestic"? Like they came from a budweiser/coors/one of those guys... maybe a step up, like that silly 805 beer.

It's kind of like Calm Before the Storm but with zero coffee flavor.

Gonna get a taster of it next time I'm at the brewery because I swear on draft it had a strong sweet chocolate flavor.

Had this on tap this past weekend and it was quiet delicious. As a huge stout fan I thoroughly enjoyed this on tap.

Curious to try this. Love nitro beers and a big fan of Ballast Point. Should be getting some next week.
